Anyone ever had this problem?

So I just got back from visiting family out of the country. I've been gone for about a month my car has been sitting in its canopy it has been started but not drivin now when I take it on the freeway any speed over 50 it's start vibrating and the steering wheel shakes and it get worse until about 70. Anyone know what this could be?

Thanks in advance

Flat spotted tires from sitting can sometimes do this, but usually correct themselves pretty quick.

1. Did you check the air pressure?
2. Are you sure the relatives that started up your car to let it idle while you were gone were not out joyriding? (few can resist)

Ya I made sure the front tires had air in them it feels like the shaking is coming from there and I'm 100% sure no one drove it

check for loose suspension parts and if all is tight then it may be your rack and pinion. Happened to a friend and that was his problem

No leaks. Is it possible that the tires got permentaly flat spotted?

modern radial tires.. highly unlikely for just sitting a month.

If it's predictable- meaning shake at an exact speed up to another exact speed, in your case 50-70 then your tires need rebalanceing. You've likely lost a wheel weight somewhere.

I would be highly shocked if a month of sitting caused a flat spot that bad. Especially if the tires were aired properly.

Plus you should notice it before you got to 50 if they were.

Hope it's nothing major!

Did you note the mileage? Possible damaging 'joy ride?'

At the dealership I would have them do a road force balance. It will show if the tire is simply out of balance, has a flat spot or is out of round.
