Lots of great input. Thank you all.

I don't have to buy this car...or any car immediately. I sometimes just get wedded to an idea.

The girls are both using booster seats now so I think the backseat of the camaro will work.

You are right that no one wants to make a mistake on a draft pick. Even if I could afford it, nobody wants a $5000 repair on a car within 6 months of purchasing it.

Hey guys. First post. I'm a Chevy guy. I have had a Blazer and I'm currently on my fourth Corvette...a 2000 C5 with about 40k miles.

I have two young kids who require car seats. My wife and I have done some vehicle juggling and long story short, I need a backseat. That's where the Camaro comes in.

I've been doing my research. I've looked at and driven a few. I keep coming back to one car in particular. It's a 2011 1ss in red with silvery white stripes. It only has about 16k miles. It's priced in line with both kbb and nada...a little below both actually. It has a clean carfax...which I know doesn't mean as much as some people think...and it looks, sounds and smells clean. The problem is that it appears to have been bought and sold several times including after only about three months most recently. It has been for sale at the latest dealership for about 60 days and has had the price reduced several times.

It could be a lemon.

It could be that people who bought it just bit off more than they could chew and had to get rid of it.

Opinions, insight and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Its your choice to make but it does not sound like a bad car. Many owners does not scare me off. My v6 standard transmission I'm its 3erd owner. That is not bad for a 2012 with 24000 miles on it. People passed mine up because it was a manual transmission.
I did get a CEL for the evap system but it went away on its own after driving it a few months

Many drive the automatic Camaro like the luxury and performance but desire the more visceral sound of say..... A dual Mode exhaust and the manual.....as the L99 in a automatic does need a tune to make it even perform better, and the exhaust is quietter than even a non performance exhaust, and if you plan on hot rodding or building the engine there is a lot more to consider with a DOD /AFM car...MY first gen 5 was a automatic.

None of those bothers me...in fact, I'm glad it's a stick.
That's what I have. The only option on mine is the RS package, I especially wanted the HID headlights.

I like it!

The best answer was about the dealer "flip" game. This is in fact what they do. There is also a YouTube video explaining how to buy "exotic" cars at a good price and what you are describing is actually outlined as a positive thing to look for.
