I just enjoy the attention it gets. I was going to the ball park the other day and a young boy was walking on the sidewalk with his family and he yelled out "look dad a race car".. got a kick out of it. 8 years old and it still gets as much attention today as the day I bought it.

I see it as a no harm, no foul and if I had a dollar for every time my Transformer Edition had it's picture taken I'd be rich.

3. Do you think they might post it on their social media as "their" car?

I basically told them they were lucky I am nice, somebody else might not have been so kind. The only thing one of them said to me was that he liked my paint job. As I am pulling away, they give each other a chest bump.
really you should be happy that people liked your car enough to take pic.. why would you get mad... sounds like they respected the car. people would take PIC all the time OF MY SS.... NEVER A BIG DEAL OR WOULD I ASK PEOPLE SHOULD I BE MAD

Public place, you can't do anything about it. I've taken my 4th gen Z28 out to several car meets and it gets lots of eyeballin', comments and a few pics taken of it. It's 20 years old, comments are usually in line with "I had one..." or "a buddy of mine had one in high school..." type stuff. A little different with newer cars but still, if they want to take pics nothing you can do about it - just don't touch it or heaven forbid sit on the hood. Scratches and dents are not fun.

I had a dream recently that as I was looking at my motorcycle from a distance I saw a guy get on it. Thankfully it was only a dream, I was livid. In reality it happens to motorcyclists a lot. Some folks have no respect for others property.

I don't mind. Infact, I always get a nice fuzzy feeling when I catch anyone of any age stopping to check out one of my cars. A co-workers son commented the other day that he liked my "race car" in the parking lot.

However, for personal safety, I don't recommend anybody touch it whatsoever.

That warm and fuzzy will probably switch to hot and angry rather quick!

#1. Should feel good, I know I do every time is see someone taking pictures of my vehicles.

#2. If you were parked in a public place & they weren't trespassing, they don't need to ask your permission as long as they weren't touching or leaning on your vehicle. They can take all the pictures of it & themselves they want. Now you could be an ass and get in the way every time they tried to snap a shot.

#3. Most likely will post it on social, most likely saying something along the lines of 'saw this awesome car/Camaro in the parking lot and had to get a pic'. Of course there is a chance some wannabe will post it as their own ... so what. Whenever you drive a nice vehicle, there's a chance that can happen.

#4. No they weren't rude and shouldn't have had to wait for you to come out or track you down to ask to take a picture (see #2); you just happened to catch these two; there's no telling how many others you haven't caught, could be hundreds, thousands ... let the nightmares begin.

#5. When I've come out to find people taking pictures of my car or take them when I've been at a car show, I go up and introduce myself and ask them if they have any questions. Often, if they have a young kid with them, I'll ask them if they want to take a picture with the child sitting in the drivers seat.

Bottom line, you are way over thinking this, be proud you have a vehicle that others appreciate enough to want to get a picture of it.

They don't have to ask permission, any more than asking permission to look.
They like your car enough to spend their time taking pictures of it, be happy and be nice.

If I am out by the car, then I would prefer if they ask, just a common courtesy, even though I am pretty much not going to say no. If I am not out by the car, as long as they aren't getting touchy with it, I am OK with it as I don't expect them to hunt down the owner if the car is in a parking lot.

I encourage people taking pictures of/with my car. As most have said, if they don't touch it, who cares lol

i came across this beauty yesterday. So of course I pulled up next to it, dropped the top and snapped a couple.

The owners came out and saw me and smiled. The wife/girlfriend said out loud that they charge for pictures. Guess is it was a joke, didn't really respond.

So in other words, you park your hot car(whatever it is) at the local hardware store and someone sees it, why not take the opportunity for a photo shoot?

It's one thing to touch, a whole different story when they're just admiring without touching.

My car has been posted on other people's social media more than it's been on mine. As long as they don't mess with it then I'm good with people photographing my car whether they ask or not doesn't bother me.
