Audio Question - Bluetooth - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I think I've got the answer, but maybe I'm missing something.

The Bluetooth module that is in the '13 LS can only do audio calls correct? OnStar is no longer in use on his vehicle (accidentally hit the button flipping the mirror the other day).

I assume without some sort of transplant that the Bluetooth can't stream any audio (driving directions or music) over it.

What I do find interesting is, if I hit the microphone on my iPhone (speak to text) the blue tooth actually makes a "call" to my own number. Not literally, but I can talk to text.

So there is some level of functionality at play.

That or I add an FM transmitter.

No biggie. Aux jack works with streaming radio and directions when I really need it.

No you can't play music. You would need to install the PDMI with the USB

Thanks for the info. I assume that means replacing the radio head unit. I'll live with the aux jack 👍.

Yeah. Do you have it paired to the car too for calls? Curious how it works with the two devices.
