Possible that windscreen has been replaced by non-HUD-compatible 'screen. Think the original glass has some code in the corner. Thread on here somewhere about it I recollect. One of the younger, sharper-memoried Camarii will know where....

What Yellow 1 said. I saw in another post that you recently purchased this car. Most likely the previous owner had to replace the windshield and it was replaced with a non HUD glass. The glass should be marked "HUD".

Similar to this...

No, you will need to replace the windshield.

Over the years I've known a few Corvette & Camaro owners who have replaced their windshields with non-HUD ones and they have all been slightly blurry, but I've not seen one that had a double image like in the picture. Not saying it can't happen, so I'd first check to see if the windshield was replaced with the wrong one as others have suggested; but, I'm thinking this could have something to do with the HUD itself (the lens) ... really hope I'm wrong and the others are right.

Based on this thread and the other one you had regarding DRL issues, I am wondering if your car was in an accident when it was owned by the previous owner and it wasn't properly repaired.

Windshields are actually two layers of glass bonded together with clear material in between like a sandwich and cause double image if not specially constructed for HUD.
This youtube video explains why you get a double-image on a NON-HUD windshield.

The HUD windshield is a LOT more expensive than the non-HUD. If I remember correctly it was more than 2X more expensive. My SS is a R6P Camaro so I don't have HUD so I bought an aftermarket HUD that works pretty good. It was blurry when showing on the windshield so I bought a stick on reflector film from Amazon and now it's super clear. I don't know if this will work for you but it was so cheap you have nothing to lose to try it.
