Did my first autocross yesterday. There were more cars than usual for this area, so I only got about 6 runs on the course. I definitely have a lot to learn, and my best time was still trailing the better drivers (including a 6th gen Camaro) by several seconds.

Still, it was quite fun, and I'll be going back for more next year, certainly.

I did the whole wash, clay bar and wax thing on it. Man does it feel really smooth now. Came out great. I used the Meguiar's clay kit. Got it on amazon for $15 since I have prime and it came with 2 bars. Was really easy to do.

Bushings are a bitch to install. I remember the freaking pain it was, and my shop has a press that I used to get them out.

If you're going to swap bushings to BMR and haven't already, definitely recommend you swap out the front end lower control arms, radius rod, and steering rack mount bushings for outstanding stability on the road. Add an undercarriage chassis brace (I'm wearing the hotchkis) to avoid that ass from hopping around like it loves to do on these cars, and your car will feel like a rock on rails.

BMR bushings are great. A great improvement from the stock sets. Recommended.

A bit of proof positive... vid here shortly after installation of the hotchkis race set and bmr bushings. Ventura county, highway 33 a few years back. Didn't even have my hood on yet...

Not gona lie the worst part was probably the bushings, i had to use a utilty blade to knife off the entire outer flange on one side, so the the press could push through the eyelet. I also ran into the issue of when i removed the stock trailing arm the entire hub assembly settled downward an extra quarter inch or so, so had to use my jack and lift back up until top eyelet on the bmr trailing arm lined up and then install bolts back in. Not too many steps, just some of them are quite tedious.

I like the yellow. Have you ever thought about matching the black on the back to it? Mines white and I can't decide to.

that would be illegal to have that much yellow!

but, no. I want some custom stripes at some point to break up the yellowness.
