Question about lowering

I lowered the car one inch, is the strut suppose to stick out? Am I suppose to have that gap?

Yes, that is completely normal.

Completely Normal. It was there before, but nobody ever notices. The Top of the Strut rotates, if it was clamped down tight, you wouldn't be able to turn the car.
