I've got my car 3' in the air, hopefully it's high enough.

Harvey is a very very dangerous storm.

Living in Houston for awhile - Ground gets
saturated and no where for water to drain.
Gulf temps around 90 degrees? 3-4' of water
on top of what is already there! Biblical....

Please all be safe - First Respnders and folks
of Texas my prayers are with you all....

God Bless!!

Praying for all those affected by Harvey. We were flooded this time last year and I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy.

My old Katy hood is flooded... and it was surrounded by low rice fields. IIRC, it was a 500 year flood plain? I still had flood insurance when I lived there.

This, or at least get it up in the air on blocks or high jackstands. Be safe!

I know what you mean. The level is up, rain stops, level down, rain starts and repeat.

We do not live in a flood zone and carry flood insurance for $400/year, but the one neighbor I asked does not carry it on a $400,000 house. So I would imagine a ton of people don't have it.

This song just kept going through my mind before and during Harvey. Hoping for the best for all of you Texans. One of my favorites. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=veOPrDAGLqE

My wife sent me this image earlier tonight and I'm not sure if this house is currently in Texas or not but whoever built it was prepared.
