I need new tires in ZL1 size ASAP

So I ordered new tires off the TireRack.com site on 8/30/17 and found that the FireHawk Indy 500 rears were back ordered and would be available on 9/30/17. As of now when I checked the status - they changed the date to 12/1/17. I am in need of new tires ASAP and it seems no one carries my size in stock! WTF??

Fronts 285 35 R20
Rears 305 35 R20

Does anyone know where I can locate tires because my local tire shops do not have these in stock as well and would need to be ordered. I am willing to consider other brand tires. I currently have the GoodYear Eagle F1 Supercar tires on my car. Any help would be appreciated!

I feel you. I had to order mine a couple of month in advance (GoodYears). No one I've been to stocks them. They order from TireRack believe it or not...

Good luck and keep safe...

Wow. That's not good. If someone gets a flat and stuck on the side of the road... then they are SOL. These tires should be made plentiful in stock everywhere so us fellow drivers can get them when we need to. I picked up a screw in my right rear tire last week and was losing air. I was able to plug it up. However, the fronts are showing wear on the outer rim of the tires. Basically they all need replacing. Not sure if I can hold off on new tires till Dec since this is my daily driver.

Yep, I have 2 used fronts in case of that. No rears though. I went to NTB here in Dallas last year and they told me they were on national backorder.

I do have a set of SS wheels and Motivos for all 4 corners as well as MT DRs just in case...it sucks for sure... I'm expecting it to get worse as the 5th gen ages...

What I would suggest is to step up in size to 315/35/20 and choose Continental Extreme Contact Sport or Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Will places even carry those or will I have to go through TireRack?

Tire Rack
Discount Tire
And then normal retailers

305/35/20 is an odd size, not many vehicles came with them

I cancelled my order and placed an order for the Continental Xtreme Contact Sport for both the front and rear. The only difference is I will be paying almost $500 more on these tires compared to the Firehawk Indy 500. The tires should be here by next week Friday providing there are no delays due to the hurricane. Thanks for your help. Will be interesting to see 315's on the rear with the OEM ZL1 rims I have on the car.

You have some options

285/35/20 & 305/35/20

Continental Extreme Contact Sport
Nitto NT555G2
Goodyear tires I can get these

Then you can actually up the size

285/35/20 & 315/35/20

Michelin Pilot Super sport
Continental Extreme Contact Sport

295/35/20 & 315/35/20

Michelin Pilot Super Sport

295/35/20 & 335/30/20

Michelin Pilot Super Sport

All these sizes will work without a issue.

Will you be able to get the Continental Extreme Contact Sport in the 285/35/20
315/35/20
that is competitive with the TireRack pricing?

Must be nice. That will be something I'll do in the future unless I like having 315's in the rear and they are easily accessible compared to the 305's which are not.
