Well......hes flying at 117 mph. My car is running 107...108 constantly. And that f#$kin sucks. My best is 1.8 60 with a 12.6 et. My car hasnt run this slow ..ever. From trapping 111 to 112 a year ago to this. Seems im going in reverse. And to add to it there is a huge Nostalga weekend going on so ive only ran 3 times. Heres the only vid i have.

His 117 mph trap speed compared to my 107 trap speed is what happened lol I knew he would run better but i didnt think i would have such a low mph. He came clean and showed me the Boss intake with the bbk headers and Airaide tune version cai that went along with his dyno tune....when he showed me tbe 425 rwhp dyno sheet i knew i was in tough. We only ran 3 times..i beat him the first run then he took the next 2.

I bet your transmission tuning is off now with the new stall. First time I took the Mustang out after the stall. I had a similar problem.

If you watch the vid my car leaves clean but looks like it falls off about 100ft out. To be honest I lost 2 mph last year after the gears...now a total of 5 mph with the gears and converter. And he gained 5 with the boltons and Boss intake. That math isnt in my favour lol. I was so pissed. Even if I was trapping 113mph that may be enough to hold him off. But that 5.0 is flyin ...hes now shifting at 7400 rpm. How did you fix the problem? Makes me think my trans tune has been off since the gear swap but im not sure. Wondering what you think i should be trapping?

If your not tuned. You need to be. I got in touch with Lund tuning after the converter install and he rewrote my tune. If your already tuned. Contact your tuner and have them write you a revision for the new mods. You might have to do a few pulls with a laptop data log to get it perfect. Your always going to be down on trap speed compared to the 5.0 unless you do a cam. I trap 117 with the stall. And cut a 1.5-1.6 sixty. So I don't have as much track to make up trap speed on the big end. Since my car is doing a lot of work on the sixty. I'd probably be trapping 118 without the stall. Regardless. Your car should do all of it's work on the first half of the track. And should be a high 11-low 12 second car. Once you get the bugs worked out. With your mods you should be trapping 112-114 but you should be killing the sixty foot with your mods. What was your air pressure in your drag radials? And did you give them a good burnout? Was track prep decent. Was anyone else struggling for traction?

Your tuner will most likely need to increase the low RPM timing, I had to increase mine 10 degrees after adding my converter, went down to a 1.6 second 60'. If you can, launch the car in 3rd gear on the streets and see where the converter stalls to, then make adjustments to the VVT and ignition timing to see if it increases or decreases. After adding cams mine would only stall to 4200 RPM, now I have it to 5000+.

The same shop has done all the work. Dyno tune ...trans tune... converter install and gears all tuned for each mod. If im the worst diver in the world my trap speed should be higher lol. I was 19 psi and track prep was good with average burnout. If i flashed the converter ..like in the vid it hooked well. If i tried to launch at higher rpm it would spin the tires...even 1st to second shift.
