I recommend you use the search feature on the forum. Or, better yet go test drive a Z/28 and try not to buy it on the spot. For starters here's one near you:

Don't bring your wallet unless you're prepared to buy it. The Z/28 is a dark temptress...once you drive her, you'll not be able to resist owning her.

I'll do you one better. I had a 2014 ZL1, now a 2015 Z/28. I would never go back......and I loved my ZL1. It's a total cliche to say that you just have to drive one to understand, but it really is true. From the exhaust note to the way it makes power (I prefer the LS7 over the LSA), to the the way it handles (Z/28 by a mile), to the way it brakes, to the way it looks.....the Z is just RAW awesomeness. As a pure analog drivers car I don't think anything can touch it.

If you have the opportunity to make the switch you will be glad you did, especially if you keep it long term. If you daily your current car, you might like the ride better than the Z - but the Z will do everything your current car will do, but do it faster and with more composure.

That go drive it you keep hearing is both good and bad advise. My advise is if you are not prepared mentally or financially to make the change, do not drive a Z/28 - if you do it will likely leave you wanting every time you drive your car after that. But when you are ready go drive one and that will seal the deal!

Don't wait to long to make a move if you are thinking about it. Inventory will dry up and then they will be hard to come by and prices will begin to creep up.

Good luck with your decision!

What can we say ? The 2014 1LE is a great car ! You did well. but, the Z/28 was really special, and the people that got them at rock bottom price cannot be out done very easily....

I put 14,xxx on mine in 10 months of ownership . Effectively zero of those miles are work related in any capacity... all fun miles! That's A LOT of fun but I wish the odo would stop climbing so fast!

This confirms my fear haha! The Z/28 was on my list to go drive, but never got the chance to make it happen. The big kicker is that I was able to pay for half of my 1LE up front so my payments aren't murdering me. The Z was just a bit much for my comfort level. $375 vs $670-720 is much more managable and I also enjoy creature comforts like cruise, MyLink and so on.

I guess this is the big factor in my decision. I wanted the car to be comfortable and enjoy it just driving about. The real need for a raw driving experience isn't the dominating factor for me. This could change once I do drive one, so who knows. I'd like to get my 1LE paid off before entertaining the idea of getting rid of it for a Z. Maybe in a couple years time, should the opportunity arrise I'll have to take one for a spin.

Thanks for the info fellas!

I had a Boss 302 LS. It was awesome. The 1LE is slightly better. The Z/28 puts the Boss to shame. Does it mean that the other 2 cars aren't great in their own right? Nope... just that the Z/28 is that good. Also, I recently got to drive a Ferrari 458 Italia. It is amazing, but I would not give up my Z for one....would add one if I could afford it, however :-)
