CALIPER BOLTS
I am removing and painting my calipers this weekend. somewhere I read that the bolts holding the calipers on should be replaced due to torque specs and they are a one time use. can someone answer this question. is it necessary to replace them? sorry if this is in the wrong sub forum just want a quick response.

You dont HAVE to but TTY bolts SHOULD be replaced. I replaced mine when I did my rotor and pad change.

They are $2-4 each, just replace them. It's not worth saving $15 to risk brake failure in any circumstance. No it isn't necessary, but that is such a small cost for peace of mind in my opinion.

I did not replace mine and after replacing calipers about 6 times and torquing them to spec they started to come loose just recently daily driving. I will be replacing the bolts before the next track day for sure... TTY bolts were ok 1-2 times but not a lot...
