I kinda like how the 2010 Mustang is sleeked down some, the rear is kinda the part I guess I like the least.....

2010 Camaro.... it's completely out of the ballpark externally. GM did such a great job with the styling imo. I want a Camaro still, just admitting that the more I look at the newer mustangs, the more pleasing to the eye they become, they don't give me a case of "Perma Grin" like the Camaro does.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

Ah... you'll have the opportunity to learn first hand then.... post back on your results after a year or so.

One other thing... numbers do NOT make a race.... what you can do with the tools the vehicle provides is what's important and, ultimately, the only thing that's relevant!

What do you mean by that? If your talking about reliability then I know many freind's and family that have owned Ford's with less problem's than I've had with GM.

I just mean that you will get to see for yourself since this is your first Ford.

Note the headline today:

Ford Recalls 4.5 Million Additional Vehicles In Switch Recall

Faulty Part Could Cause Fire; Largest Recall In Ford's History

Ford Motor Co. says it will add 4.5 million older-model vehicles to the list of those recalled because a defective cruise control switch could cause a fire.

Ford says 1.1 million Ford Windstar minivans will be recalled for repairs due to a small risk of fires.

The company says another 3.4 million Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles with the same switches also will be recalled even though there have been no reports of fires. Those vehicles mainly are trucks and SUVs.

All vehicles covered by the recall are from the 1992 to 2003 model years.

Sherwood says this is Ford's seventh recall due to the Texas Instruments speed control switches. The recalls cover a total of 14.3 million vehicles and combined are the largest in Ford's history.

Now, I realize all manufacturers have recalls and what not but 14.5 million? And, let us not forget the "Explorer" rollover debacle.....

Kind of makes me wonder about their quality control.

Wow, you found this all by yourself. You do know this is a Voluntary recall also. Glad Ford decided to step up and just make a blanket recall covering all vehicles possibly affected.

You really don't want me to list all of GM's recalls because the number will get larger. Nice try tho.

Well here is a small sample...

Ford total for 2008 - 1,377,008
GM total for 2008 - 2,364,964

GM total for 2009 so far - 2,093,353
Ford total for 2009 so far - 43,310

Ford did recently voluntarily add 4.5 million vehicles ranging from 1992 to 2003 in a huge blanket recall. However the above numbers are for vehicles actually built in 2008 and 2009. I could list numbers going all the way back to 1964 but GM wins (well maybe win is not a good word) Everytime.

Look I dont want to get into a pissing match over this. Every brand has recall's. FYI I did do a small search just to see and if you want to go by that it did'nt look very good for GM either. And if you really want me to post them up I will.

x2...frankly fighting over quality, recalls, etc is plain stupid. You won't find a 'PERFECT' company so trying to argue over who is 'better' than the other is still comparing one 'less than perfect' company to another. They all have problems. This brand biased stuff is ignorant.

As was previously stated, "I'm just putting out the facts". I didn't have to look too hard to find this... it was on Netscape this morning and on the local news.

No fight here.... I work in quality control in the aircraft industry so it hits home for me when these "quality escapes" are in the news.

Ok... let a few of my 2005+ V6 Mustang friends (who are performance oriented people) drive my Camaro... They all liked it.. When I mentioned that the base V6 Camaro was more than a base V6 Mustang they all agreed that yes, the Camaro cost more but they felt you got MORE CAR with the Camaro and it would be worth the extra cost...
