Cable dipstick anyone?
So I really don’t like the twisted thing my car has for a dipstick. Has anyone used something else? Like a cable one maybe? Thanks!

I would like a normal flat one, but a cable one would be better than the twisted one.

The OEM dipstick came with your car, there is no cable one from GM since it's excess cost for zero reason. Get the Lokar if you want a cable one.

Well THAT is why I am asking, because I have found online resellers who have more than one listing, for ls3 engines, AND OEM GM part numbers.

I have a GM factory replacement (tube and dispstick) -- I purchased it from ebay for my LSA forged rebuild.
This is the dipstick only part number (price is about $20-$25): 12669528 Its a factory replacement for the twisted version -- works like a champ! ![]() ![]() ![]() Images are from the SS forum but, I bought the tube and dipstick GM has 'phased out' the twisted version, this is the replacement... If you order the 'old' part number, you'll get this one instead I'd wager... this is mine: ![]() -Don

Anytime! I went through the same thing you did. Mine just about broke off and I figured it was time to replace it....
