Anyone try Goodyear F1 supercar 3R tires yet?

Just like the title says, has anyone tried the Eagle F1 supercar 3R tires on a Z/28 yet, if so, how do the tires compare to the Trofeos?

by the way, now that were on the topic of tires and op i apologize, but it needs to be said,

do NOT run a 305 hankook v12 on the rears. damn things run super narrow. (i blame the previous owner who had my car for this one). up fronts have a nice squared up sidewall but out back is a different story.

305 Goodyear's at $330 per tire look like a good value versus Trofeo R's with Porsche NO rating at $475 per tire and MPSC2 at $360 or $485 for Porsche NO version

Just bought my first set of GY 3R's 305/30/19's. Have not run them yet. Now you have me thinking about the 325's for the rear. I might wait for some answers before mounting mine.

The only other tire I have tried ate the Michelin Cup2 's and was not pleased. Too narrow and wear fast.

The GY's are certainly cheaper than the Trofeo's and the Cup 2's. Not sure if I will run them this season.

The 305 rear tire looks small to me in the rear wheel well. I know it’s what gives the car some of it’s handling characteristics but I think the 325 being slightly taller and wider would make the car look more aggressive and match how the front tire/wheel looks.

The car does oversteer so a 325 our back should make it slightly more neutral.

Depending what mode you run in at the track, it may affect your traction/stability control. I have tried the 305/325 set up with NT-01s and it did seem to kick traction/stability control on in long sweepers... Could be the NT-01s are just less sticky but it is kicking on at a time when the car doesn't seem even close to the edge...
That's one of the reasons I am looking at the 3Rs, price is the second.
I am surprised the 3R is considered an extreme summer and not track/competition like the Trofeos.

I usually run traction/stability full off. What setting were you in?

I can't run PTM on my R888Rs either - in Auto X it was really bad how early PTM 4 would kick in. 5 didn't give me the gas I needed on exit either - didn't have the same problem with the Trofeos.. I've been autoxing and tracking the R888Rs with everything off.

Side note - on Camaro 6 I saw a thread about the front's being corded BAD after 5 days - owner was suggesting that something was defective with the tire but 5 days with a lot of camber isn't unreasonable if you're pushing the car. May want to watch that thread before you buy.
