alternative is, remove turn signal wire from socket, attach end to resister wire, install other wire from resister to socket

I don't think it will work, you only need resistance on the turn circuit as LED's have no resistance, and you need to fool the flasher, the resister should not be hooked to ground and live wire

Then can you please tell me the proper hook up? I am so frustrated and exhausted at this point that I just feel like putting the halogens back in and calling it a day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Those are nice, I have the sequential on both my ZL1 and 67 conv. They also have to have resisters but are plug and play

I did but you don't want to cut the wire

Forget it, I give up, I’m putting the halogens back in until I can afford the plug-and-play LED lights

First you don't connect to the tail light you connect to the bumper harness on both sides, call me at work in the AM and will tell you the right wires to use on the big 12 pin connectors under the two triangle covers on both sides of the trunk.

When I did mine I believe the resistor is installed in the negative wire. You don't connect it to the positive wire at all. Cut the negative wire and put the resistor in line with it. This will give it the resistance it needs to make the flasher work.
