Speed Inc 2010 shop car / 100 octane results

We base lined the car prior to any tuning changes. The only difference being the 18" Z06 wheels with 345 M&H tires v's the stock 20's. I feel the weight has to be similar.

today it's 55 and 91% humidity due to the rain

593 rwhp today
previous was 581 rwhp
566 rwhp today
previous was 530 rwtq (due to a little tire spin since run prior was 550)

new #'s @ same 10 psi & 100 octane

626 rwhp
597 rwtq

max timing was originally 15 and now is 24

We will shoot for the 10 sec ET with 93 octane and use this tune as backup

? people have made far more power and run more boost on Ls2/Ls3 motors

We are not concerned about it + it's our car and we will be glad to test the limits of parts

No biggy on a shop car...I just wouldnt do it on a customers car.

I do love the fact that so many people are testing the limits of what this motor can do. The coming months shoudl be very interesting.

We are not done yet

& as mentioned with race fuel and proper tuning we see no issue with 650-700 on these motors, but not on a daily basis by any means

So, with a proper tune, how do you feel about 10 psi daily?

Do you see any advantage of using meth with this particular setup vs say a 100 oct gas? Meth is cheaper....but would it afford you the same level of safety and same level of power increase?

People seem to underestimate LS3s for some reason. 10psi isn't anywhere near the limits of this block. People, including myself, have been doing that on LS1s and LS2s for years. As long as it is tuned right, it will hold together.

We have had it at 10 psi on 93 octane for a couple months. The 100 octane tune was added just for a little more power if need to get our 10 sec slip.

We have even ran Ls1, ls6's at 10 psi and pump gas over the years with 0 issues.

again does it push the motor harder then 6psi? sure, but when you want to play you take a little risk with anything and the tune is most important even with a car that may male 100rwhp
