So basically i was wondering if anyone brings there convertible camaros to the track and if so is it recommended to leave the top up? If not at what point would it be recommended so the top wont get damaged from wind resistance

The ones around here won’t let you unless you have a real roll bar.

Well, at Watkins Glen, one can get in with a convertible under the "3 lap follow the leader" daily event at this track. "Technically" one is supposed to keep it at 55 mph. LOL. What I did, and others as well, is to let the pace car driver get ahead, or the car in front of you. Once I had a reasonable amount of room, I opened it up. Believe me, I went as fast as I wanted to go. I guess they will do the same at a drag strip if you clock under 13 seconds in the quarter mile. No doubt all good for safety in regards to having a role bar.

No. I did do a Friday night drag at TMS without one and if I had entered the shine and show I could’ve done a couple of laps on the oval without one but auto cross at “Good Guys” and running the track at Cresson are out.

Most tracks require the top to be up.
