Glad you're being a good sport while everyone kicks you in the cats. LOL!

If your car was tuned with a cam and bolt ons, then traded to a dealer, who then reinstalled the suitcases, yes, the car's output would be restricted. Then, if you later removed the suitcases, yes, for sure you would feel a difference. How much hp is involved is anyone's guess. My guess would be 15whp max.

My guess is; he was full of gas, you empty, useless shit in the car, bad speed for him from a roll and you got the hit. OR you stock exhaust was tired and clogged like someone said.

It just takes that to change results.

Anyway your car is stout to beat the C7, congrats whatever happened, you took the W. IMO, I think a stout H/C 5th gen is faster than average-joe boltons C7 on pump gas.

I had just refilled actually, he was at 3/4ths full, both had empty trunks (we keep our cars empty when we do runs lol). We both run on 93 premium. We rolled from 45 which is a good start for both of us as wheelspin is not generally a factor. I think it was the stock exhaust inhibiting flow. Someone said 15hp gain tops, I don't think that would be enough to not only pull a C7 but pull it hard, all the way through the top of 3rd gear, so I assume it would have to be a higher number - but as others have said, until it's dynoed, we will never truly know

Thanks! It is a topic of discussion and every situation is unique for every car I enjoy seeing the different ideas as to how such a thing could be possible, that's what makes this place great!
