The camaro is going to be my daily driver so the first thing I am going to do is tint, then lower it, then CAI, then catback, then wheels prolly within the first week. Sooner or later ill get it painted. None of wich make it much faster but there will always be somebody faster then you anyways so whats the point. Oh, wich leads me to the sticker on the back window, "Dont laugh, your wife might be inside!"

LOL, I'd love to tell you a way, but I'm the last person you should ask. Definitely not a mechanic here, I'm here to learn.

Well.... I don't feel alone then

Maybe it won't be too annoying, although the one in the 4th gen was fairly invasive to me.

The CAI and the catback will make considerably more responsive IMO, but thats a very good point, there is always someone faster, an as long as she's fun to drive, whats the point?

I will immediately drive from the dealer to go get my windows tinted to the darkest legal limit in MD.

That's it.

have you ever regularly driven a car with ridiculously dark tint? if not, just put on a pair of really dark sunglasses one night. that's what it's like trying to drive. i have to open the windows just to make sure i won't hit anything when i back up. it's also a pain trying to turn onto a dark street or read road signs. just something to consider

My 2001 Camaro has 95% tint on the back window, and while it doesn't help a whole lot at night, I don't find it terribly aggrivating. In most cases it acts as a auto tint mirrow for people with lights that shine right into that cars low ride height. 45% max on side windows feels like not enough!

do you mean 5%? (tint is measured by VLT - Visible Light Transmission) my truck has about 20% on the sides & 10% on the back. yes, it does reduce glare from people behind me & in the daytime, it's great. just hard to see in the dark. that's all i'm saying.

about below:

That's the one. For all of Utah's other quirks, having no limit on tint for the back window is nice.

Maryland doesn't let you tint it that dark and I wouldn't even want it that dark.

The legal limit in MD is perfectly fine for night driving.

And 35% is the the MD limit, I believe

Any idea about laws on tinting your rearview mirror? That can help where it's not legal to sufficiently darken your rear window.
