If my car's accurate, my favorite driving cabin temperature is close to 80 degrees.
eh, 80?!
i set put mine on 60, then adjust the fan speed.
thus, making it manual again

I went on vacation with friends in a Buick Lucerne down to South Carolina, and the whole drive down never had to touch the climate control once. Set mine at 68 and whoever sat in the passenger seat set their temp and that was it. Always used full auto mode, and everyone was comfy.

This is very random but I feel honored that Fbodfather posted in my thread!

hah

Anyway, how do you guys NOT like dual climate controls? That makes no sense. Are you just finding an excuse for the Maro' which is 40 grand NOT to have it? I mean I love this car but it's just annoying on some parts.

Its no excuse for the Camaro. Its a feature that just drives up the price of a car. Like nav units. Maybe this isnt the car for you since it doesnt have all the features that you have to have in a car. For me those are things that are just more clutter in a car. I am a firm believer in K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid. Also 40k...where in the hell did you get ripped off at. If your gonna pay 40k then you need to find another dealer.

We KNOW that a fair number of Camaro owners will purchase this car -- and keep it -- the car MAY be a 'daily driver'' -- but at some point, a number of these cars will be put in the garage at some point and used on weekends and such.........

Therefore- we know that the interior materials MUST last. There ARE some parts that are going to wear - namely the leather on the seats -- and the seat bolsters no matter whether cloth or leather -

......but it's simply unacceptable to have I.P. pads 'crack' early on -

Instruments -- the Camaro is a high performance car -- the last thing anyone needs is to have someone behind the wheel of a high performance car -- and have them 'monkeying around' with buttons and knobs and anything that takes your attention AWAY FROM THE ROAD.......

Go look very closely at the I.P. and the knobs and buttons on the new Camaro.......

The radio -- notice that it's very much like Radios from years ago -- two knobs -- one controls on/off and volume -- the other allows you to 'tune' a station - and then there are pre-set buttons -- all very intuitive and you don't have to take your eyes off the road in order to adjust.......
(you DO if you want to go into the many menus -- please pull off the road to do so......)

The HVAC -- it takes a couple of minutes to learn each button - but once you do, it's second nature --

Notice the steering wheel controls - esp. on the 2LT and 2SS -- again - designed to keep your eyes on the road.

One thing that we tried to keep in mind with Camaro -- and it was something that caused quite a stir in many meetings: More is sometimes less......

Did we make some bad calls?

Yup -- the Disciples have told us in no uncertain terms (my blisters from that heat are still healing...) that we need a power passenger seat - and that we need climate control and that we need memory seats -- all as options.......

We hope that those who are 'not happy' with the interior will spend some time behind the wheel - we think, for the most part, you'll change your minds......not everyone, but a very large percentage.
I agree, as I mention in my thread
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20652
the controls are very straight forward and easy to use, too many buttons and gadget will just get you in trouble!

LOL dominated. Arent we a slow learner. YOU ran the price of a car up with the ground fx and the rs pack. Almost $4000 of the cost is crap you added on. Dont act like the car is a 40k car standard. Its a 36k car, but I digress from the point. You are wanting Cadillac features on a Camaro. With the added crap you are wanting you would have it at 40k without your addons. Me thinks you are wishing in one hand and sh#@ing in another. We all know which one is gonna fill up first. If the features on the car are not to your liking, either wait till they are on there, or buy the car with the features you want.
Otherwise as one of my favorites whos been absent as of late would so eloquently state....STOP WHINING!!! Either take it as it is or move on to a car that you wont nitpick apart.

HURDUR, aren't you an internet badass rofl.

Now insulting me online makes no sense. You're online... I don't know you... And you look like a fool.

Now, before you make anymore excuses for a Camaro which is the EXACT SAME GODDAMN PRICE AS MOST JAPCARS THAT HAVE DUAL CLIMATE CONTROLS, ETC listen here. I 100% GUARANTEE if I surveyed 100 people on this forum whether or not they're getting the RS Package MORE than half would say they are? Why? Because the Camaro is lacking without it. Most cars already HAVE HID beams today in 2009. It's a simple fact, GM cheaps out on some shit.

2010 Camaro SS (top of the f-ing line) + RS = 36k + Tax + delivery = 39-40$

Quit making stupid ass excuses.

Also, before you go on another little ragefit, how about you read the first goddamn post in this thread big boy. I said I didn't give a SHIT whether the Camaro had this stuff, but I thought it's a bit unacceptable it didn't. I'm still getting the car. I still like GM. Who gives crap.

Please before you post, think.

Now go sit in the corner.

The base V6 I was looking at was stickered at around $30K, I can't remember exactly, it was either $28, $30, or $32 (having a total brain fart). All I know is I was very shocked to hear it was that expensive.

Won't be hard to get a decently equipped V8 into the $40K range after Tax & License, and won't be hard to get a V6 well into the $30's well equipped either.

You do understand that there is no actual mercury thermometer or metal coil that expands/contracts and shuts off the AC/Heat in cars with dual "climate control", don't you?

The numbers on the little screen don't mean a thing. They're just a digital visual reference as to what kinda of air is coming at you... rather than a blue line that turns into a red line.

If you set the temp to 60* and crank the fan... you can cool the cab below 60*. Same with the heat. You can bake yourself at 85*.

If the numbers meant SH*T, then you would be able to park your Black Camaro in the hot Arizona sun, set your "thermostat" to 85*, and the temp in the cab wouldn't go much higher than 85*............. it means that the AC would turn on automatically if the temperature went above 85*, or that the heat would turn on if it dropped below 85*.

The PRO of having dual climate control is that I can crank the AC on full blast, and my old lady can adjust it to a warmer temp for herself so she doesn't freeze sitting in the passenger seat.

I think it should have been a standard feature for the 2LT/2SS. Do I really care? No. I'm going to crank the AC as high as I want in my car. Do I care that I can't cram my 6' tall body in the back seat? No. I'm not going in the back seat.

But I am very pleased to see the heated leather seats. Anyone who lives in an area that has very cold winters can really appreciate this.
