I'm sure we all know what he means. 03-04 Cobra's are very easily made fast. I know mine on street tires, pulley, exhaust, cold air and tune ran 11.8 @ 118 mph.

If you were to go to svtforums your would think the 2013gt500 was the second coming they are so stoked on it and what does it do that other cars won't??? nothing. faster quarter mile? no GTr and Zr-1 are faster. Faster top end, no not really. faster lap times? proabably not

is it cheaper??? yes so every arguement then point to price making it best. does the cost of something make it best? no. or these cars that are faster are not in its segment.

See even over there people are in there own little dream world of best. So the 2013 gt500 is the ford guys ZL-1. the biggest badest thing he likes/can afford.

notice the similarities here???? The truth is they are both awsome cars but over there the ZL-1 is a slower pig even though it is faster than every other GT500 to date most likely. Since the one that is not quite out yet is going to be faster the ZL-1 sucks.

yet you call people here biased which is true but I say both have biased people and drive what you like.
I totally understand and very much agree.

Factory FI cars will, often times, have a better dollar to hp ratio than a N/A car. It's simple and straight forward.

These blower cars, such as the GT500, pick up a tremendous amount power with just an intake/tune/upper pulley. A friends car picked up almost 80rwhp+ with just those simple mods. A LS7, for example, will need a cam to make plus Intake/Tune/Headers to make pickup that much power AND the cost to pick that power up will be much higher than just a pulley swap, an intake and a tune. Headers alone is over $1300-1500.

Also, I can easily head over to SVT performance, pull up their fast list and find a few GT500's that are running no where near what they should with the amount of mods they have. I've seen some 520rwhp+ not even break the 120mph range, running 12's. Same thing goes for the Cobra's.

We all know the game AND we all know what each car is truly capable of so lets respect that.

I had a 2005 GTO, as well, for about two years. Great car, too, other than the oil consumption issues with the LS2 and the dread "strut rub" issue I had with my car.

All I know is; if I can get a 6sm SS into low 12s in the 1st couple months...it tells me it's all about the driver...and I'm not that good yet. (Hell, a good driver in my car might break into the 11s) I'll almost guarantee the ZL-1 will see mid-high 10s with a CAI, pulley and a good driver with seat time.

...just sayin

I lucked out. Had absolutely zero issues in 20k miles. Catback/intake/tune car, it put down just shy of 380rwhp. It was paid off, I didn't need to trade it in for the v, just didn't think I needed two good-weather daily drivers.
