I don't think everything was totally sorted out with the car though, because Hennessy's TVS Camaro actually trapped more mph on less hp (supposedly) than this car, so it probably still has "some" tuning gremlins. Eitherway, a 200 shot SHOULD outrun a basically stock GT500.

Fella's don't kid yourself, there will be plenty of video's here pretty soon of camaro's getting nailed by GT500's, if you don't want that to happen you better be building a shortblock (for either massive spray or massive boost). If the GT500 is modded it will likely be game over...better hope they are stock.
Pnarmq is wise.

Its funny how you guys go on about this. But as Pnarmq has just told you...a car with those heavy of mods, on a 200 shot no less SHOULD win. Now I could go dig up info on regular GT's with those mods running low 11's but why bother ? When you start modding, its all about the mods and the driver at that point. Hell my GT would have easily spanked that GT500...its quite obvious that the GT500 had a poor driver.

But alas, a win is a win so...grats ? More on topic, I wonder how long a stock block could last spraying a 200 shot....

What gave it away, the way he drove through the water but did no burnout, that he drove right through the staging beams the first time and had to back up or the bigtime redlight start?

that's it, he just adjusted the tune some more. the car is still running on the same setup as before. also, i clarified with him today that the car is on a 150 shot, NOT a 200 shot. that was my mistake, sorry

thanks for the update on the 11.29 and 150 shot! much more in line with what it should be running, but I'm still expecting something in the 10.7-9 range.

would really like to see some 60' times too.

a built LS3 with 'massive' spray or boost is not going to get wasted by a modified GT500.

How much rwhp was that with (trapping 129)? The thing moves out for sure...roll racing nightmare.

We had a local guy running 10.60's @ 130 on stock blower.
