One thing about chrome? You can always paint it or tape it or remove it.......

I recall there was an uproar about the grille on the 2010 car when people first saw it......

As I recall I said something along the lines of "....well, if you don't like it, there will be any number of accessory and aftermarket grilles out there in the next couple of years.............." -- that's the beauty of owning a Camaro -- you can personalize it!

Yea, Jason Photo-shopped it (earlier in the thread) to show what the full grill "would" look like. No conspiracy here, move along, LOL

I know it, I've had quite a few Silverados with grilles (front ends) just like that and never had a single problem with it chipping or cleaning them either....but I'm extremely picky and always keep it waxed and slick

The bugs are so kinda hard to get off black paint....I mean completely off....and I've never had that problem with the chrome

I think it is the exact same height. It looks thinner because there is a bottom horizontal piece that is pretty thick and currently thee is no bottom horizontal element. The chrome lip adds another horizontal element at the top which is also not in the current design, again making it appear to be thinner. I believe the upper edge of the gill on this new design flows the outmost edge of the fascia above instead of sloping back toward the rear. If you look at the egg crate from an angle in has this shape > , the new one appears to me more like this )
