I am glad that you are recovering, things could have been worse. But I think I know what happened...........

The Camaro tried to "TRANSFORM" while you were driving it and then you hit the tree before the robot phase completed. LOL

That is terrible, do they have any cause for why they would give you this ticket? For all they know, you were avoiding an old granny crossing the parkway and you swerved to avoid her. I hope you make a full recovery man.

Let me offer you some insight on what probably happened. You were definitely not speeding if the speed limit is 100 MPH. I've witnessed a lot of vehicles after accidents and due to the damage on your car you hit the tree real hard. If your girlfriend was following you and you where driving the speed limit why is she miles behind you? Unless she left after you. You say you lost consciousness but yet you're definetly sure you were not speeding. I believe you were not DUI because it was ruled out during your investigation because you better believe it is something the police check when there is a solo crash of this magnitude. If you were not driving out of your potential I don't see why you should have to convince your girlfriend and family to let you get another Camaro. I'm not calling you out on a lie, just giving you some insight on what might have happened. I wish you a speedy recovery because there is nothing more important than your health. I really hope you get another Camaro.

I don't remember the accident due to the concussion. It's not like the accident wiped out all of my memory from that day or previous days.

Have some sensitivity and respect for your fellow members. No matter what the circumstances the accident occurred under, this member has multiple severe injuries that he will likely have to deal with and rehab for a long time to come.

If you don't believe his story, that's your perogative, but move on.

He's not posting here to garner pity, but just to provide some background to the pics that we all saw a few weeks back, but didn't know the context to.

For those who may not know, it is a strange happening when a traumatic event happens. My sister was hit head on by a drunk drive traveling about 65. That was 15 years ago and she cannot remeber the accident, but can remember leaving school and the last song she heard on the radio. she spent 6 months in ICU, today she is ok. I think it is just a built in mechanism from the Good Lord to help us all with terrible events. I for one am glad you are alive and hopefully will return to the same condition you were before this. If the brain experiences an extremely traumatic event you run the risk of developing PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). The brain is also sometimes able to block out the traumatic event to protect itself, as is the case here. This is fairly common knowledge...
