This thread shows only one thing owner loyalty. I mean sure there are some view points that make since. Others are just being brash about their ownership.

I say if you have the money for a ZL1 then purchase a new C7, If I had the money .... and I dont.... I would get the C7 Z06. My friend and I have had discussions about the ZL1 vs the C7 . It just comes down to the C7 is the car for 60K. Not sure if dealers put a mark up on the Corvette but I built a C7 with the Z51 package 1LT for about 61K thats with mag ride and performance exhaust.

If you like the SS and want a better ride for the track and save money then the 1LE is a decent package.

All that said if I had ZL1 money it would go to a C7 with Z51. If I didnt then for me the 1LE would be the next best thing. And then if I didnt have SS money I would drive a Tucson.

i was told i could just put forced induction on the 1le and make it as the same power as the Z. not to mention the zl1 is around 15K more than the SS, what do you guys think???

OP, I'm pretty sure I've met you before at an NY5thGen meet in the past. I'm guessing you've met Matt with the agm 1LE and know how awesome 1LE's can be (Matt's car in particular is pretty sick). You're correct that you can add several things to a 1LE and make it as close to a ZL1 as possible. However, you would be obviously foregoing your warranty. In my personal opinion, if those are the only two cars you'd choose from, I'd go with the ZL1.

Also, in your post you never explicitly said that you were not interested in a C7. So if you can swing the ZL1, you should also take a nice look at a Z51. I'm betting you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Keep looking. I was in your shoes over the summer. Didn't have my heart set on new or used, ZL1 or 1LE. But I just kept looking. Then I found a used supercharged 1LE with 250 miles on it for less than the car sold new for new. I pretty much knew that was it.
