That being said, how do you get as much HP and T gains if you cant tune the TCM as well?

Im just looking for the best bang for the buck.............
Transmission Support is in the works from Diablo, so it is coming at some point and will be a free update when it does.

The Trans computer has adaptive learning, and can easily adapt to most modifications.

If you want to test it Go to the drag strip and make 6 or so passes, then drive home easy and pay attention to the shifts before and after racing you will be surprised, on the way home it will shift pretty hard until it learns again.

well, the one that's replacing the Predator is the Trinity, not the inTune... the Trinity is the one that they are consolidating all of their current Predator/Vehicle support into...

the other programmer they will be coming out with is the "inTune".... and according to their 2009 catalog:

"The inTune automatically detects any OBD2 vehicle such as Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, BMW, Mercedes Benz, and much more. The inTune is not limited to OBD2 vehicles, as the capability to do medium/heavy duty trucks, motorcycles, PWC's, even snowmobiles is built in!

Included in the inTune is an OEM level scan tool with features not seen in todays tuning products. Not only does it do the standard DTC reading/clearing, PID/DMR logging... the inTune also performs thos functions only seen in OEM dealership scan tools. Engine self tests, ignition key learning, diesel DPF regen, variant coding, and crank re-learn procedures just to name a few."

I am not doing alot of mods, CAI, exhaust, maybe headers. Which one works best (get the most HP/TQ), Predator or Trinity?

Will I get the same support from you for both?

Mike

And will a canned Trinity/Predator tune change the torque management or is that done with a custom tune added with a trinity/Predator?

If you get a chance go to Diablosport.com and read up on both, it is all about Features.

As far as tuning goes that is where I come in, I can accomplish the same thing with Either, But the Trinity has a Wide band O2 input that is there but not functional YET, the Predator does not have this feature.

For WOT tuning Wide Band O2 is a critical peice of info I will need logged for remote tuning

With a Predator you would need a separate Wide Band O2 gauge that logs A/F over RPM.

The Trinity has full instrumentation, a gift at that price.

It will but not at the level a custom tune can take it.

Trinity is a step above the inTune or whatever it is. inTune will be similar to Trinity in that one part supports a lot of cars..but it won't have all the features Trinty does..it is more a handheld tuner. inTune is a tuner according to everything I have heard.

As for trans support..don't hold your breath..they have been promising it for 3 years now on GM cars. Maybe the Camaro will give them a kick in the butt. Superchips has trans support..but they don't seem to be as flexible on helping with customer tunes and allowing certain things.

aaah, gotcha....

yeah, I haven't heard much about the inTune, and with the trinity being developed first and all the predator's being consolidated into IT, I thought it was the opposite way around regarding the Trinity/inTune... since the inTune will be able to support just about anything, and can do all the OEM stuff as well.

diablosport does not have their own specific wideband O2 sensor yet... but if you look on page 20 of the full user manual (http://diablosport.com/images/MaxsNe...age/Manual.pdf) it shows you how to wire up a connector to use any other wideband O2 sensor you may have.

and there's also a different small diagram here: http://diablosport.com/index.php?nam...wtopic&t=18607

That is what I meant, I knew they would accept other widebands 0-5v output.

I had heard they were coming out with a sensor that would plug in to the Trinity.
