I have long tube headers, 2 pc 2.55" pulley, 160 degree thermostat so far. (not installed yet) next purchase is race cold air kit from ADM, flowmaster catback and an hp tuners GM pro VCM. In the future I also want to upgrade to 4.10 ratio and some stronger rear suspension arms. I would also like to add a dual pass intercooler and larger res, possibly a a/c cooler for the intercooler.

As soon as my Z is out of break-in the mods will begin. I'll be taking it to a good dependable performance shop (ADM or Hennessey) and getting started. Won't stop till I've got it just how I want it, about 800 horses should secure an unfading permagrin. Of course aesthetic mods will begin the first night I get her home.

The fuel shut off comes too quick, mid range power is long and flat and dosen't pull hard enough in upper gears. Much room for improvement there is. ...and I am with you....the math behind the motor is quirky at times, it's bland and lazy on occassion in 3rd and 4th, other times it's more predictable and responsive. So much for algorithms and maps. Over compensate for all the parameters; timing, fuel and horsepower curves based upon vehicle input with HP in a higher range.

All you would be doing by changing the suspension is ruining millions of dollars in enginering put into this car to make it handle like it does. Maybe you should have bought an SS if you want to change how the car was built.

They have two different wheels that go on the ZL1. Both of which are shaped different and weigh different. The MR was not calibrated differently for the two wheels. It has nothing to do with the wheels other than the offsets involved for handling.
