Edit: those that don't have 50K or friends that own this car cannot have first person experience. If you do, great! Again, you can choose to be rude or helpful. |

I agreed, magazines are the best way to gather information. I'm just stating that after '10, most magazines stated that the GT500 was fun, and quite pleasing to drive. If my demeanor has struck you as rude, real life must be harsh. |

Then if you have no real world experience, why in the world would you comment?
I actually felt VERY confident in the rain when I owned my SS. I'm curious what kind of feel the 500 offers, dry or wet. |

It doesn't have to be locked. I truly believe we can all choose kindness, rather than defense/attack mode. I totally dig learning about the Camaro and now want to learn more about the GT500. I know their are lots of knowledgable folks on this forum who love to educate. When we all learn that genuine questions aren't attacks, the tone of each of these threads will improve.

I suppose I'll have to wait till the end of this month before any of my comments are worth reading. I'll leave this thread by saying youwont be hearing a single thing from me personally, on how my new car handles high performance driving in wet conditions. I'm not man enough, or stupid enough, to put nearly 60,000 dollars into a curb, or worse... |

Ahhhh the Camaro Vs. Mustang saga continues...
Let's all remember to be respectful and act like true automotive enthusiasts when discussing this topic. Remember, if it was not for one another, there would not be anything to discuss...

People keep saying this, it's not a nursery. We are adults, generally perfectly capable of not having our hands held.

To me this was a teaser vid to keep people interested. It doesn't prove or disprove anything.

Hardly piss poor, infact coming out with cars like the 03-04 Cobra and Mach one, the GT500, and even the 08-09 Bullitts when there was really no reason too was pretty good IMHO, it is not like they had competition to worry about at that time.

From what I can tell from the video, going through a turn or corner in wet weather, the GT500 fishtails or about to, then the driver has to let off. I'm glad this is professional driver driving this car. It's going to be difficult to use all of that 662 hp on any track much less the street when it goes on sale. But I love that they're testing it...they must be having fun. Feeling J right now.

The 2013 GT500 will be a monster! All indications are that it will be like a wild stallion and hard to tame. The ZL1 has already been tamed by the engineers and is an engineering marvel. What the new GT can do remains to be seen...... but it will be a performer. Will the HP make up for engineering on the ZL1? Dunno.... but I am an enthusiast and look forward to the competition.
I know this, the ZL1 breeds confidence. I am not sure what Dearborn is up to will do the same, but it will be fun to watch! Now, I am not talking tuner vehicles... just factory spec. Once you give them to tuners, that's a whole different game. |
