...so what did the GT500 run on the ring

Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

no, silly. thats at VIR in Virginia!!!!

they go there and flog a new batch of cars once a year.

they use the "grande course" which is the full course plus some added turns, this configuration is no longer used for regular track days.

4.2miles of hard drivin fun!

i've done several hsde events there, with the mazda club & the porsche club. (i had a g35)

tracks day are a great way to learn about your car & improve your driving

Thats not the ring... that would be Car and Driver's ''lightning lap'' course which has a severe lack of difficult corners.

The ring time should be 8+ minutes

'11 GT500 will be the same IMHO. It wont be different till '12 when they will PROBABLY have the 5.0 supercharged engine. I believe ford already confirmed the 5.4L again in the 2011 GT500. Ford is not going to come out with a new generation GT500 in 2010 and then do it again in 2011.

Order a 2010 and then trade it in on a new in 2012 or whenever the next gen comes out. If you order a 2010 now still will be waiting 2-3 months to get your car if you want HiD's. If you do not want HiD's then the 2010's are on the showroom right now.

The 2011 GT500 will have an aluminum block which should shave quite a bit of weight off the front end.

Lucy, you got some splanin’ to do…

In other posts you have stated numerous times that you have only added a KB S/C and have said you have run a 10.7.. 1/4

Still own the GT500 or did you sell it back in January?:(

Anyways, keep up the good work on your internet racing!

I am looking to sell my 2007 Shelby GT500 Red/White Stripes with 23,000 miles. The car is a garage-kept example of a vehicle car has been almost-daily driven for the past 12 months or so. I have no interest in representing the car as anything else other than a well-kept vehicle that has been driven. The car has seen rain, but for 75% its existence, it was sunny and pleasant here in Tennessee. The car has seen limited track time (12 passes, total) and has never been street raced or driven hard when not on a track. There are more than a few members of this board who know how I am about my cars and that it is as nice of an example of a driven GT500 that you are likely to find.

The car has every option (including navigation and Sat. radio) except the upgraded Shaker 1000 stereo system and red seat/door panel inserts.

The car currently has the following modifications:

Kenne Bell 2.8L Stage III supercharger kit (w/3.25, 3, 2 7/8 pulleys incl.)
Steeda Adjustable Upper Control Arm
Steeda Adjustable Panhard Bar
H&R Front and Rear Coilover Kit (street)
BMR Camber Adjusters
Midwest Composite Strut Covers
Midwest Composite Mirror Accents
Steeda Billet Aluminum Lower Control Arms
BMR Driveshaft Loop
Magnaflow Axlebacks
Carroll Shelby Signed Dash Plaque w/VIN
Autometer Cobalt Series Wideband Gauge
Autometer Cobalt Series Fuel Pressure Gauge
Speed of Sound 2-pod gauge piller
Shelby Billet “GT500” sill plates
DSS One-Piece Aluminum Driveshaft
Micket Thompson 265/40/18 ET Street Radial
BMR LCA Relocation Brackets
Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter
AFCO Dual Pass Heat Exchanger
Moroso Intercooler Tank
Tinted Windows
3.73 Gears

In this trim, and with the canned KB street tune, I have turned in a personal best of 11.18@130mph. This was with the 2 7/8 upper pulley on drag radials (1.78 60ft) at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY in September 2008. With a better driver and cooler air, I have no doubt it would be in the mid-to-low 10’s.

Pics below were taken a few weeks ago. I will try to get more recent pics taken this weekend. The wheels on the car in these pictures have been sold, so it is back to running on the stock wheels.

I am asking $43,000 for it.

Link with pictures to a STOCK GT500 (other than KB S/C) That runs 10.76 @131...

I've already replied to your accusations in the other thread where you posted a similar question. I'd post it again here, but since you obviously have enough time on your hands to perform internet detective work, I'll just let you find it.

Nope, still have it. I had given some thought to selling it and upgrading to a 2010 when they became available, but decided to keep what I have. For now.

Lol in that entrie list the only go faster part is the KB ! You do understand a lot of those parts come STANDARD on a GT500.....All I see there is some suspension upgrades, a 1 piece shaft, and some Axle back exhaust. The rest is gauges and standard stuff...

Which proves again it does not take 10k to get a GT500 into the 10's and to run low 11's all day long......

Well, in his defense, some of the mods listed certainly did help the ET but did not affect the power output of the engine. Having tons of power means little if you cannot harness it.

In the other thread, he also points out that I had posted two different MPH's in different threads in the past, which was a screw up on my part. For the record, 131mph is the fastest I have trapped, to date, in the car, not 133mph.
