Called GM today. Lady tells me that it rolled off the line this morning.

They wouldnt give me the VIN number. She said only my dealer can get that info and they wont get until Friday or Monday..

At least its done. I am praying that its loaded on a truck and delivered quickly and it doesnt go to QC.

So, I finally got confirmation of my TPW of 6-29. I sat down with my salesman and got printouts of my order out of workbench. So, I guess we will see. Since it was still in 3400 status yesterday I guess we will have to see what happens.

Well, I called GM directly at 8am, they said my car is complete and in transit. I should have it in 2 weeks!There IS a Camaro GOD!

If that is correct, you should call your dealer and get your VIN. The dealer must have it if GM says it shipped.

Thank you! I'm excited... And believe me, as soon as they (the dealer)are open I'm calling. I called for update on Wed (soon as I got hom from the hospital from having surgery) and the dealer told me no change - Build date 6/29. I think she is printing updates on all of their orders before Wed, but is telling me their system only updates on Wed. I don't think she is really looking it up when I call. I don't know for sure what's going on with them, but she even told me a couple of weeks ago that she couldn't give me a VIN until I take delivery! Then said she had to get special permissions from the finance department and she does not deal with that department - then said she felt it would be no problem getting permission needed to give it to me...WTF??? This I don't understand since we pre-approved, put our money down and ordered. So, I'm going to try to get it all today.

There is no reason for them not to give it to you. I don't understand how some dealers are so lazy. There are dealers on this board and on 5thgen.org that have been helping members get info on their orders since March. They do it out of kindness and dont mind doing it when they can. Your dealer is getting paid and should be happy to sell a car, let alone have a preorder. I have a similar deal with my dealer. It is like pulling teeth. I call often and leave messages, but only 5% of the time he calls me back and by that time, I already have to info from a source online.
The dealers better hope that GM never figures out how make buying/ordering a new vehicle go online, because all the salesmen and women will be out of a job. They are just about worthless.

Well, not one time have we been called or e-mailed about any updates on or order. Not once. And like you say, it's like pulling teeth. I'll update ya once I talk to "the one who does the orders".
