Had the day off and I basically spent it all on Christine. Let's see how my checklist went.

-Install Apex Catch Can
The instructions were great, but it just took me forever to do this. I was being ultra careful so it was real slow.

Most things were easy, but getting the fittings for the hoses to point forward was a bit tricky. Too much thread seal tape and it was off, too little and it was off. Hard to get exactly right.

I don't like how I routed the incoming vacuum hose. It looked ok with the engine cover off, but when I put the cover back on it was pressing on the line. I did not want to run the line right against the valve cover (heat concerns?) so the angle is not that great. I will look around and redo this during the weekend. Nothing wrong with the product, I just don't like how I did that line.

-Install Elite Clean Side Separator
I think I got some drections for this from Elite, but I could not find them today
I emailed them, PM'd them here and posted on the relevant topic. Still no word. I decided to table that install until a later date. Indy, I have the stock air box, no CAI FYI. Thanks for trying to help me.

-Install more 3D Carbon Fiber applications I have
I did install the 3D carbon fiber keyhole cover. Looks cool. I also did the visor stickers with the warnings with the 3D carbon fiber. Not a bad little upgrade. Sorry, forgot to take some pictures.

-Install my 'CAMARO' emblems as the Xpel spots on the sides have now been fixed by the sun
I had everything ready to do this and I changed my mind. I like the debadged look. I have some more 3D carbon fiber to go over the chrome lettering, but maybe I will just leave them off. Looks better to me, at least right now. Subject to change perhaps.

-Rewash and Rewax
Did another Adam's Car Shampoo wash with the mitt. microfiber towel dry. I went over the whole car again with Meguiars Ultimate Liquid wax. Came out great.

Busy day!

You were a busy, busy man today! A great sense of accomplishment too, yes?

I gave my girl a bubble bath today; detail spray, interior detail, Super VRT on the tires, and detailed out those rims.....whew! Took me over 2 hours of non-stop rubbing and buffing...but man she looks good! hehe.

Happy Firecracker Day! Hope you have a fabulous 4th!

Thanks for stopping in my friend!

I don't feel I installed that outflow line correct, but no error messages and she drives fine. Will remedy this weekend.

You are a real Camaro fan! Would love to see the final product after the work you did.

I'm a little surprised to see the assembly required on the Apex CC. On my Rx, both ports exit the top of the can and all fittings are preinstalled. All I had to do was slide the hoses over the fitting on one and screw on the AN fitting on the other. No tape etc. It took me some time to unhook some electrical fittings to gain access but the CC was Piece O' Cake.

The main thing is to make certain you've got the correct port on the can connected to the right PCV outlet.

Well maybe I should have gone another way. I have the flow correct and like I said, no error codes. Just don't like the line touching the engine cover. I will work on it this holiday weekend.

Agree, line should not be touching anything. The can should be height adjustable via the bracket. If you're not 1000% happy with it, PM Chase.

Just wanted to stop in and say hi MCL, I know I've told you this before but your car is beautiful!
Love the Black exterior with the gray/black interior...sharp!

Hopefully the hurricane will play nice and you'll get to fire up the Egg for some grillin' this weekend : )

Sure thing Pony, got plenty of meat today and will be ready to smoke all day. Got a canopy in case of rain. You have some fun too!

Re-Routed Catch Can Hose
Great day here, 80 degrees with a nice breeze and zero humidity!

Took a half an hour this morning to redo the inlet catch can hose. I laid it just how I thought it should go, and no no clearance issues. Feel so much better!

Yeah I had that same issue with my CC, rerouted it a couple of times before I liked the way it was.

Glad at least 1 other person had the same issue. I am fine with it now, but before I just was not comfortable.

How exactly did you redo your inlet hose? Mine touches the engine cover also.

I route it behind the electrical lines against the valve cover, it still misses it by a few mm. Leave a longer gentle curve around and up to the top fitting and it should clear the cover.
