Here is a rather interesting article. Chrysler is going to survive, they should break even or even have a profit by the end of the year. Let's put this into perspective, yes they have a lot of sales to rental agencies, but guess what, GM is also dependent on a LOT of rental sales. The reports I have found showow the total jobs lost between Chrysler and GM at 400000, the vast Majority were GM. Try to take a nonbiased position and see that Chrysler is improving and will survive. Will they be as big as GM and Ford? Probably not, but they will still be, be making great cars, and be profitable. The fact is a lot of the problems Chrysler has are the same ones M has had or even still has.

Where did that money come from? It wasn't from sales profits.

.
I do want to cover these 2 things. There was a Motor Trend article posted in early 2008 where they were talking about the then upcoming Challenger and Camaro and part of that was how the Camaro was designed to sell 100000+ a year while the Challengers targets, according to Chrysler, were 30000-50000. Remember the Challenger is built with 2 sister cars that are the Colume leaders, the Challenger is a niche car period. Also you realize CHrysler sold nearly 10000 Chargers last month, right?

And, how do you think GM paid their loans back, I'll let you research that one and then get back to me, son't want to ruin it.....

GM committed fraud in 'paying back their loans'. I did not bring them up or defend them when referencing Chrysler. GM should not be in business in their current capacity as well.

Thanks I'd never seen that page before. The tire wheel weights are pretty close, Looks like 18" aluminum tire wheel combo is the lightest with manual transmission.

LS 4 tires plus steel 18" wheels 251.5 lbs
LT 4 tires plus aluminum 18" wheels 212.1 lbs
LT 4 tires plus aluminum 19" wheels 251.2 lbs
RS 4 tires plus aluminum 20" wheels 260.7 lbs

The slight variation in weight can easily be off set by how one car can run better or worse than another identical car or the variation in amount of fuel in the tank. Thanks for the link a lot of great info on that page.
