MRC is an option on the SS. Now why didn't I think of that a while back?

I'm not saying I called it.......but I called it.

Not a fan of the wing type spoiler. I prefer a homage to the First Gen D80.

I don't disagree.

I imagine the higher performance cars will feature whatever spoiler is the most effective at producing downforce.

If this "high wing" spoiler looked anything like the Transformers spoiler from the 5th gen, I'd hate it - but I think it's tasteful...thin, and sculpted.

I just can't wait until the taillights are revealed.

I never was able to even like the refresh taillights. I looked, I tried. Just not a fan.

To me they look "ordinary."

On the other hand, I love, love, love the pre-refresh and the C7 'vette tails, so something in between the two would suit me fine.

One advantage of moving to the Alpha platform ANNNND being built in LGR is that the people and processes are in place to build to demanding Cadillac fit and finish standards. If the rear quarter shot is even remotely accurate for the gap of decklid to quarter panel this car will take a huge step up in assembly quality.

I expect that GM has come to realize that styling is free. Other than some weird unformable shapes requiring additional dies (capital) making a car look great is really low cost.

The Camaro will not (for now) have to compete with a Buick or a Cadillac. So making it look awesome is more in the vein of making the Corvette look awesome. GM still has a bit of work to do to differentiate Chevy and Buick without dumbing down the Chevy as they have been doing for years, but the Camaro does not have those shackles.

I think the renders Chazcron has done are awesome, but only about 90% there. The devil is in the details and the lighting, subtle feature lines, greenhouse moldings are all unknown. And we know zip about the interior. That has been kept pretty tight all along.

So on May 16th, be prepared for a lot of the following:

"At least.............."

I don't expect a HP/TQ number

I don't expect a SOP date

I don't expect a 0 - 60 time

I don't expect a specific weight

What I do expect is:

At least as much HP and Torque as the LT1 in the Corvette

Available starting in the 1st quarter of 2016. Maybe 4th quarter 2015 but if so, Merry Christmas

0 - 60 in under 4.4 seconds

And a 1SS under 3,750 pounds (I do suspect they may be doing an apples to apples with content not in the Gen 5 to get the stated 200 pounds)

I saw that panel gap, too...I thought it was too good to be true so I chalked it up to camera trickery. If that is real....holy crap!!

I'd like to play "the price is right"...

465hp/450 tq
0-60 4.0 sec
SS </= 3700
Standard handling: 1.0g

Not sure 4.0 is going to happen. Isn't the ATS-V 4.2?

ATS-V does 0-60 in 3.8 with the 8 speed.

My guesses are
Hp 460 TQ 465
Weight 3775
0-60 in 4.1 with the 8 speed
1/4 mile 12.5 113 with the 8 speed
