Next meet is May 12th but we have a few things before then.
There is a show this Saturday that a fair number of us are going to..
Few of us enjoy going to the track when ever they are open to public dunno if that is your thing

I do a lot of autocrossing with the SCCA. If you're curious about that, it's cheap fun!

http://www.wichitascca.org

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or contact me directly.

I had to miss the last (going to be my first) meeting with Heartland Camaros group because I wasn't feeling well, but I'll be at the next one!

I always wanted to try my hand at SCCA. what all do you have to do to your car to make it legal? There's usually all kinds of crazy rules aren't there?

You need a good helmet . . .

If you have modified your car then you are in a different class other than stock. (CAI or Exhaust counts as a modification)

Other than that, have fun !!!

Well exhaust, eibach springs, free ram air mod. Etc.... Nothing really crazy yet but hopefully will get a rollbar of some sort soon. Something about driving a convertible at high speed lol. Which is stupid because I have no problem driving my bike at triple digits lol!

Yeah, you would be in a "different" class, but it's basically one called Street Modified. As long as you had street legal DOT tires (which most people run on).

Our events are on an old runway in Yoder, every 2-3 weeks on a Sunday. Starts at about 10am (registration closes then). If you want to come out and see what it's about, it costs nothing to come look and ride with others (and me, if you want. I love having riders).

There are maps and directions to the site on that website. There's an event this Sunday (Apr 29th).

Oh, and we have loaner helmets.

Remember how you used to drive your car in an empty parking lot as a teenager? It's like that, but without worrying that the cops would catch you.
