No..... was unsure about leaving radiator unmounted from the frame. I know the Vararam should keep it mostly in place, but........

I hear ya. I was worried too, but after 1200+ miles with this on it doesn't seem like the radiator is going anywaher. The only thing I have installed is what I pictured ealier. And those "stays" or hold-downs are just that. Simply to keep the air scoop down. On my car, without the stays, the VR would ride up slightly on the drivers side and get to close to an electric connection.

It also mates up nicely with my Diablo Tune as well. Could tell a big difference in the performance.
I had the same problem. I accidently crossed thread one. I got a thread saver and hopefully I can fix it.

I installed mine and love it. I put some serious miles on it already with my 2800 mile road trip.

So I fixed everything today and finally finished my install. Sorry not trying to take over the thread but I just wanted to post a pic to show you guys how everything went and to see if you see anything that made need to be fixed. Only thing I was unhappy with is that the logo on the Vararam Intake itself was scratched from the time I open the box. I know some maybe a little anal over it but I dont want to wait for another intake to be shipped over a logo. Well here is my pic

Thanks and yes I did use the long bolts for now. That's until I can find some L-Brackets. It does'nt seem like the radiator mounts help bracing. It appears that the radiator sits nice and tight with or without them being installed.

I took it out for a short drive after the 10min required idle and the intake was cool to the touch. I cant wait after 100 miles and I can get on the gas a little bit. The intake is either quiet under the 3k RPMs or my exhaust just drowns the sound out. Im not sure which one it is yet. The throttle response seems to be better as well. Overall I am happy customer. Thanks to Lashway Motorsports for the great deal. They have the best deal that I have found. So if anyone is looking to purchase one. Go see these guys. Extremely helpful and had great prices.

I only added the small bolts with spacers just to keep the VR from sliding up. As you noticed, the radiator doesnt need support.

Once you get those 100 miles behind you, you'll be even more pleased.

This is a great intake and it seems lots of people are finding out just how nice it is. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad I didn't pull the trigger too soon on something else.
