UPDATE:

Thanks for all your opinions! When I first asked this question, I was hoping for some solid pros and cons and thankfully some of you offered that. With all that in mind, my previous research, and my checkbook I finally was able to get my car. I now own a 2013 Silver Ice Metallic AUTO. My reason for choosing was the following:

When I test drove manual I'm rush hour traffic, I realized while it was fun. I'm too OCD about stuff to not escape the fact that I will get tired of shifting. Some other reasons were the only manual on the lot that I would have considered was too overly flashy for me. It had some options that I didn't feel I needed and when I asked if we could negotiate on it, dealer wouldn't budge.

The silver auto, however, had all the options I wanted (RS, black rally stripe, etc) and I knew I could negotiate and get a better price on it, which I did! I pick it up today!

my opinion

If you don't know how to drive a stick, get the auto. Yes, i see you have already made your decision.

Even if this is a troll, who cares. The only things on this forum that truly grate on my nerves are the abundant misspellings.
I can understand some of them, but these three in particular are inexcusable:
1. Camero-no explanation need
2. advise-that is the verb. the noun is adviCe.
3. breaks-that is what you do to your arm or leg, or taking a rest from playing video games. they are called brakes.

Like someone before me mentioned, I'll just put the car in M, and let the transmission to the work for me without using the paddle shifters. Be advised, however, that even with the transmission in D, the paddle shifters will work. I found this out the hard way.

These discussions are pointless and just make people look ignorant. Are their pros/cons to both manual or auto? Yes. Should anyone elses opinion on what to get matter? No.

Asking this question is like asking "How should I have my haircut"? It's really something only you could (and should) answer for yourself.

Following your logic why did you just post your opinion on the posting of opinions?

Too flashy for me were things like a high wing spoiler, navigation, and polished wheels.

Gotcha. I don't care for the high wing spoiler my self. I can do without navigation. I can use my Garmin GPS, my cell phone or i have an app that i can down load directions to my car and use the GPS thru the center display on the instrument cluster.

I understand completely. There are a few items that would be deal-breakers for me as well, and not just tranny type.

You've made the best choice for you, and that's all that matters from here on out. Enjoy it.
