At least not in the same way. I know exactly what you are talking about as I have a drone problem as well.

I have the LS3 manual with stock exhaust, but the previous owner changed stock muffler for more sound and it produces a resonating drone at the aforementioned rpm range.
I really enjoy aggressive exhaust notes, but drone is different from the overall exhaust note in that it's a particular frequency that multiplies/amplifies inside the cabin and isn't just the exhaust notes being heard.

I had a C6 Vette with longtubes, no cats, x-pipe, with Corsa Sport mufflers and that mother was loud as hell. BUT, there was very little drone and now I appreciate even more what Corsa does with their engineering.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
One muffler shop guy (flowmaster salesman) tell me I should just cut off the resonators and try that. I want to take the mufflers off and possibly the resonators, but I'm not sure what the resonators actually do regarding tone.
It's not loud exhaust that bothers me, I love that, it's the drone that is affecting my Camaro experience.

I don't really want to drop Corsa money right now so I'm going to experiment.
I really like the idea of the Helmholtz (?) tube to balance the drone.

Is this something that I can have any good muffler shop fabricate, or should I buy a prefab system with the Helmholtz already done?
Muffler shop should be able to do it for you. Just need to know the length of the pipe. Look under the Helmholtz thread, there is a chart there somewhere.
