let's not be Nazis LOL. Most SS guys are like most LLT guys...many do have experience with the V6 too. Sure, there's some nobs in here once in a while.....

But SS guy's, it would be nice to actually answer the op's question with actual facts & experience...instead of pissing back & forth about who has what hp, etc etc.

Well I guess I was asking for it, comparing the two cars.
But I did have questions.

Question #1, How much would we cut our stopping distance if we had the brembo's or the ctsv brakes on our cars.

Question #2, If we had the Supension setup the SS's have, would they handle better.

Just curious what could We do to have a better handling car than the stock SS's

And now for the truth, I'm gunning for the 2011 V6 Mustang.

- DISTANCE BETWEEN SS & V6 IS ABOUT THE SAME..THOUGH FADING WOULD BE AN ISSUE WITH THE V6

Question #2, If we had the Supension setup the SS's have, would they handle better.

- V6 HAS SLIGHTLY BETTER WEIGHT RATIO..SO V6 WOULD OUT-HANDLE THE SS WITH IDENTICAL SUSPENSION
gotta look at bang per buck I guess. what model Mustang you looking at?

That is hilarious! But true. Dont just say buy an SS because if not youre not a man and you will have a slow car. Experience to back up claims. Because most V8 guys who have driven the V6 do like them.

Testing suggests that the V6 already corners and brakes better than the SS. Most of this is because it is lighter and has a better weight distribution (V8 adds some weight to the front end). However, the differences are pretty small. Instead of replacing suspension parts with their SS stock versions (if that is what you are suggesting), it may be just as cheap to go with aftermarket parts like sway bars, trailing arms and bushings. You will get even better results. Also, consider changing out the rearend gears. At that point you will have a distinct advantage over the V6 Mustang if it is stock.

As for the brakes, those that have made the switch to Brembos (you can probably pick them up cheap on this site) have liked them. You have to be careful about wheel size though -- I don't think they fit if you have the 18s (someone else chime in here).

I've got the 20's so no problem, but you are right the 18"s will not fit over the Brembo's, but has any one tried the CSTV brakes on the V6. The Brembo's might be good to keep down fade.

I've the Injen CAI that when I get some time I've yet to get it on the car (we're having Niece problems)

See the justicepete from pedders videos on handling mods, there's a street package- cradle bushing inserts, some type of front rod inserts and a thicker front sway, that's all the avg enthusiast needs, The gear change to 373's will probably be a big bump for acceleration, I'll let you know in a few weeks......

As far as braking, the 6 already stops quicker than the 8, but I have to believe if you can get a cheap brembo swap, that would be great.....
it all depends on your usage of this fine machine.....

My bestie has one too. They are very nice indeed and I have been unable to beat him yet. His ride is a little bit more firm as well, its very light on its feet. But there are things he likes about my car better as well. I can handle bumps much better, where as he feels like the car might come out from under him. The interior is nicer in my car than his. He likes my car better appearance wise. He likes our M6 better...

Always a trade off.

springs and sways will alot.reported skid pad#s, and they vary:
SS .90
LT .92, SPRINGS AND SWAYS= .94 but would help more in the slolum and roadrace for sure.
SS stock better in slolum I think due to the hp on exit of each cone and slightly stiifer springs and sways.
LT the mags like better on the mountain roads.
