Is it a bad thing if, while you're driving home from work, you suddenly feel the car running very rough...you look at the DIC and see "Service Stabilitrak," and see almost every light in your dash lit up--including the OBD II check engine light?

And is it worse of you stop the car, follow the instructions in the manual to try to reset it, but it doesn't work and it's still running rough?

And is it even worse if you then limp the car to the nearest AutoZone and have them run an OBD II diagnostic on it and you learn that the check engine light is for a #1 cylinder misfire?

Well...that's how my day ended today...my RJT is in the shop at Gunn. Will keep ya'll posted, if you're interested... :(
It sounds bad, but the jury is not in yet so have faith. Sorry to hear about you ride. Keep us posted.

The Jury is in...

Well...

The Jury's in now...looks like a failed lifter. Confirmed this morning when they started her up and got a big cloud of white smoke. That's the bad news...

The good news is that they are replacing all of my lifters, under warranty, with a newer, upgraded version of the lifter that is supposed to be "hardier."

I should have her back by Wed-Thu of next week. They gave me a red HHR to drive in the meantime...also covered under the warranty.

So...all things considered...everything will be fine in a week or so. No complaints here. Gunn is taking good care of me!

Don't think I'll be making the trek to Castroville, so will see ya'll at the next meet after that.

Latest news.

Wommack's Friday Nite Fever is on. It kicks off at 6 pm. Since my car is already at Wommack's I will not be heading up the convoy to cruise over there (I'll already be there).

Parking is tight, I asked for spots to be reserved. If you plan on going I'll see ya there.

For those who don't know, Wommack's Chevrolet is approximately 12 miles outside of San Antonio heading West on highway 90 (located on your right-hand side)

1955 Hwy 90 East, Castroville, TX 78009

Let's have a big showing from the San Antonio Camaro Club!!!! This is a great venue for us to talk up our upcoming car show.

Great! For all wanting to convoy -- Home Depot parking lot, 410 and highway 151, about a mile or two from the highway 90 turnoff. I'll be there around 5:45 (depending on traffic), and we'll roll out at approximately 6:10. See everybody there!

hello, last time we parked directly in front of the dealership, like front row, as other camaros got there, they parked in any available area. but there is plenty of parking.

I'm a good strong almost positive maybe! LOL And I like the meet-up spot... not too much of a back-track for me
