Need help Nine ball finding some nice wide wheels for my 1SS. It is IOM with white stripes. I would think a polished wheel would look good or chrome.

I'll disagree with you. You know what the definition of the word concave is, right? It simply means dished in towards the center, not flat, not sticking out (convex). These are definitely concave. Some wheels are just more concave than others. The word "concave" isn't a trend, it is simply a description of the wheel, based on the definition of the word.

Those Forgeline wheels on Larry's car have brushed/clearcoated centers.

Trust me, I have owned PLENTY of wheels so I know the difference. Your post says deep concave, not concave therefore I will disagree with YOU.

In today's market with concave being the hot thing, I think most consumers are looking for the concave that is being shown by most major manufacturers. While the wheel is beautiful, if I was looking to purchase a DEEP concave wheels, these would not fit the bill.

NineBall doesn't choose which wheels to call "deep concave" vs. concave. The designation of "deep concave" in this instance is given by Forgestar to distinguish it from their "semi concave" wheel.

While I agree the wheels aren't what I vision deep concave wheels to look like (fairly difficult with the Camaro's offset, as I understand), they are noticeably more concave than their semi concave counterpart.

Exactly. Forgestar lists them as semi-concave and deep concave. I'll take a photo of both of these side by side, the rears are indeed nice and deep looking. Honestly, there isn't much room for a deep concave spoke face with the Camaro, the high positive offset and the huge Brembo calipers don't leave as much room to work with, as with other cars like the Viper, Z06, 7-series, etc...

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the concave multi-piece forged wheels on the market. They definitely look great, but also weigh quite a bit more than their flat-faced counterparts. Those concave forgings require thicker spokes, thicker bolting flanges, etc... to handle the same loads as a flat forged center. Those of you shopping with performance in mind, think about that when browsing. Concave monoblock forged wheels are still pretty light, however.

Here is that photo I promised. These are just as concave as anything I've installed on a Camaro so far.
