Well, I've "heard" that a 2002 Monte Carlo SS will do around 115mph before the limiter kicks in......

This was back in 1975 when most cops didn't have "moving radar", meaning they couldn't tell how fast you were going if they were moving, they had to be stopped. I remember one time late at night passing a car going the other way, I was probably doing 140. I saw blue lights flash for a second and kept going the other way. He knew I was going fast and probably knew by the time he got turned around and up to speed that i would be five miles down the road. Back then you just had to beat the radio. At least at night if they didn't get a good look at you. Had a lot of fun back then.

When I was 20, I went 135 in my 92' Probe LX on the highway.
I'm too old now to even want to do that again, think 80 will be my top speed in my 5th Gen.

135 on a Kawasaki ZX-6 at Grattan Raceway outside Grand Rapids down the front straight.
Tunnel vision has a new meaning after that. And Raceway is code for a local Racetrack complete with 'bambulance

154 in a built 85 olds gutless with a warmed over 355 and a 700r4 and posi 3.08. I was never more scared in my life the suspension and stearing was in no shape to go that fast. most recent was 120 in a 2008 malibu ltz wifes car.

200+ in the vette. In a track down in NC. fastest I have been on public roads is 94 in my silverado of all things, lol. No I take that back. I clipped 140 in the vette passing an idiot on the freeway.
