I think it could stand to be a little lower, but otherwise, it's very nice, IMO. I like the sizes and probably will plan on bigger wheels and tires since it looks like rears will tuck pretty nice. I love the color of the ZR1 too. Hopefully Father may be able to help a little more. Sorry, everyone, for coming unglued there.

Going to be hard seeing these on the road for a couple of years before I can get one. If I keep my current car any less than 5 years the wife will probably kill me.
Just playing devils advocate...

So when has someone actually posted the weight of the wheels themselves? Just because its a 20" wheel doesn't mean they weigh 35lbs each... I have seen 17" wheels that weight 25+ lbs and I've seen 20" wheels that weight less than 20lbs.

I'm withholding judgment until we have a production unit to tear apart until then.

+1 if you get quality rims they will be 20s and light. you think race cars have small rims??? some do and some dont

So does mine, she thinks I need professional help. Of course, later on last night she was using the computer, and was pretty much drooling over the car herself(I set one of the pics as our desktop)!

Actually yes, they do have small rims. Unsprung weight is a performance killer. Formula 1 uses 13" wheels, Champ Cars use 15", NASCAR 15", and I'd venture a guess that the 15 and 16" Minilites are the overwhelming size favored by track day cars. 20's will impress onlookers, but from a performance and wallet standpoint I wouldn't mind 18's at all.

I cannot wait to see what happens!
Not to be a downer- and not that I or any of my European e-friends are in the know about such things, but we were under the impression Europe isn't likely to see this car. Especially considering Ford having a much stronger following in the UK and surrounds, and they haven't ported the Mustang. The quickly fading dollar and finally the return of North American production I'd think wouldn't bode well either. Oh well. I'll keep hope alive for those across the pond anyway.!

well yes, but look at touring cars like mercedes and opel race cars. all those euro racing cars have huge rims with huge tires and wide body kits. lambos and mclarens come with massive rims. like i said SOME race cars have big rims and some dont. and super cars also have big rims. so if you buy quality rims you can go big without sacrificing the weight. in my defense i didnt see that you were talkin about 18s. thats a fine size. if the car comes with 19s or 20s i wouldnt mind but i will not go over 20s. sorry, i thought you were defending and planning to use 16s and below on the camaro

Last time I checked, normal people read enough threads to realize that these pre-production headlights are not the production headlights. It's been pointed out in almost every thread on this forum in the last two months! I think the Concept look is moving over very nicely to the pre-pros we have seen, I casn't wait for the production models!

my 2 cents

I don't care for the Black Chrome Rims they just look like chrome ones with brake dust all over them...But it's OK, I know they will offer several different Rim combinations, and yes I know many like that black chrome look.

I know this has been stated before but I want to just say once again...

Remember this, NO car is 100% perfect to 100% of the people that want one. No matter what you do, no matter what it looks like someone will find fault. What one person likes, someone else won't. They build the car to appeal to the largest number. not just to please a few complainers... If there truly is an area that needs fixing, (meaning they have many comments from DIFFERENT people about the same thing) GM will do it, if not in the first models, then over the next several years.
As I have stated before, When they Sky and Solstice came out there were areas that recieved complaints, and they made running changes in the cars to correct 95% of the complaint areas.. I am sure GM will do the same with the Camaro.

Don't worry, be happy we are getting a Camaro...

I recall reading one of Scott's posts that named some of the countries that the Camaro will be exported to. Anyone know what I'm talking about?? It could have been posted on cz28...so anyone who recognizes what I said...speak up

^I remember that too, and I was especially happy that he mentioned Sweden Also I'm sure I read an article at some point where GM revealed that they are expanidng in Europe, especially then the Chevrolet brand with more American models such as the Malibu and the Camaro.

Great work on those spy photos.

my complaints (everyone's a critic):
-front headlight, I really miss the single headlight.
-gas cap, i hate that big round thing on the side, wish it were over the fender like on the prototypes
-low quality "orange peel" paint. I'd love a smooth paint job like you see on porsche + bmw, etc.
-fake side vents, wish they were real and lined w/ carbon fiber or chrome.

i'll have to really see one in person, yet I can't say I am 100% sold on this.

Other than that the gas cap is practical, and the orange peel is yet to be seen and/or easily handled with another good coat of clear and some wet sanding.
