I always see mag times posted, or someone say "the Mustang sucks it can't turn" when in reality I'd say 95% of the people on here are lucky to make it to work and back without running off the road, let alone pushing any of these cars to their limit. Unless you have actually had a good amount of seat time in both actually racing, you really don't have much credit going toward what you're saying. Anyone can get on the Internet and post Mag times, I want to see times of people actually racing these cars. Guess what, in the real world these car are so close it doesn't really matter. It comes down to driver skill, doesnt really matter what the brochure says.

You post with an offensive user name claiming to own cars you don't so you can crap on Chevys while claiming to be unbiased. Worse kind of fanboy

Truth of the matter is with the healthy after market for both cars, you can get them to do just about anything you want them to. What little advantage one might have over the other is easily addressed with aftermarket products.

I own a 1le and trust me i drive it to the limit. Kid that works for the company i work for had a 5.0 rental and trust me we drove it to the limit. When talking about handling they dont even compare. Plus inside of mustang is cramped my left leg against the door my right leg against the center console. Randy probst has proved the two cars arent really that close in track performance, the 1le and the gtpp. The boss was a good handler but not great. Now i havent trst drove every car but i dont think pro drivers are lying. But car companies learn and progress hence the gt350. Cant wait to see what chevy does to combat it.

I think this goes for the 6th gen mustang since its performance is very close to the camaro, but the 5th gen is really held back by its solid rear

i think you might be on to something. He kind of gave it away when he said hit the ignore button instead of proving you wrong. He might really own a z28 but if he doesnt i gotta say ive never witnessed anything like that before

Ive never seen that video. Thats one bad ass 69!! I thought you meant both cars with aftermarket parts. Of course i think the 5th gen mustang could beat a camaro with a ton of aftermarket parts if the camaro stayed stock.

Justin Young Chevrolet in Murfreesboro, TN still lists both black and white Z/28 you looked at. Black is stock #9700434 and white is 9700375

When asked to post pictures

Responding to the What would you do with a 2015 Z28? tread

You sold a GT500 to buy that 12 ZL1

Maybe they took the Recaro's, dual-mode exhaust, intake manifold and headers straight off the Z2/8. I don't care. This car is about 1,000,000 times better than the (IMO extremely disappointing) Z2/8. Sounds awesome, loud as balls, looks great and 8300 RPM's in an NA V8? WOOT! Man, I think I finally like a Ford. It's been awhile.

Performance-wise, I have a feeling this is going to smoke the Z2/8 around the 'ring.

Looking at the statement above, I think you need to take your own advice because I see no objectivity at all in saying that the GT350/R is 1,000,000 times better than the Z/28. Does Ford sign your paycheck? Do you use your own brain?

It's more balanced and Ford definitely upped their game all around. The GT350R looks incredible, about 100 times better than the Z28 (which was a major disappointment to me). So far, I'm finding the Gen 6 to be another uninspired Corvette hand-me-down and I'm liking how Ford is progressing with the Mustang much more these days.

I'm digging the Challenger more and more, too. I've owned nothing but GM cars my entire life, but I'd be lying if I said the Camaro is by far the least exciting right now out of the Mustang, Challenger and Camaro.

It's not about brand loyalty, it's about quality and innovation. GM's bringing up the rear these days. What's maddening are brainwashed nutswingers that will contort any fact to boost their low self-esteem. That can be found on any car forum across planet Earth, though some a lot more than others.

Look at what we have, here.

We have Dodge running around with a 707 horsepower beast with back seats and at 4500 lbs that runs toe to toe in a straight line with the new Z06.

And we have Ford that radically redesigns the Mustang with a highly controversial new generation, and designs a radical new flat plane crank motor just for a special edition car.

And what does GM respond with? A 6th generation that looks almost exactly the same as the 5th generation but less aggressive, a 3 year old Corvette hand-me-down motor and, oh, they're reducing their powertrain warranty, right? I wish GM would get it together. Dodge and Ford are making groundbreaking strides and knocking it out of the park with aggressive designs and taking big risks, and GM's asleep at the wheel. GM knocked it out of the park with the 2010 Camaro because it was so bold and risky at the time. They've been hitting the snooze since they phoned it in with the 2014 refresh and the uninspired 6th gen.

Nobody is probably listening to me and nobody probably cares, but hopefully my disappointment with their lack of innovation reaches some important person's ears. I already feel I know what the 2017 ZL1 will bring - a current 5th gen ZL1 knockoff that's a little lighter with a boring, detuned LT4. Yawn.

I wish GM would take a page out of their playbook with the radical Stingray redesign. What a grand slam that was. Yet with the 6th gen Camaro, they decide to lean in, get hit by a pitch and take a free base.
Looks of a vehicle are a matter of personal opinion. I simply do not like how the new Mustangs look, including the GT350/R. I like the looks of the 6 Gen Camaro much, much better.

As far as refinement, innovation, and development that went into the new Mustang (including the GT350/R), I can't disagree with you one bit. Ford went bold. Works for some, not so much for others.........

I say good for Shelby, that will just raise the bar for the next Z28.
These 2 have been goin back and forth since the beginning.
I do believe the Z28 is from the factory the Shelby is not. It's the equivalent of lingenfelter building a upgraded Camaro.

The GT350 and GT350R are both factory ford vehicles built on the same lines as every other Mustang
