I'm sure she'll be around for at least one more Fest...

and if the Fest is in the West, I can fly to Cali and we'll bring the Black Mirror instead

I'd prefer to see the black one with its 20" 285/35 front and 305/35 rear tires supported by the black 5 spoke tuner wheels , although the red and blue ones do look sharp .It would be nice to hear the sound of the "detuned" cadillac engine roaring out of the quad chromed tipped tail pipes.

yes i did say "detuned" ,dont think your gonna get an engine out of a $65,000 car for $50-55k........think 515Hp…….
We're gonna get a detuned version of a detuned engine? Will they call it the LS3 and a half?

I'm all for a luxurious muscle car.
There is already a GM version of that, it's called the Cadillac CTS-V!

I agree it will be a classic version but I think it will be more like the Camaro 2010/2014 Version.. The reviews I have read the Alpha will not be out until 2015. GM seems to be on a 5 year run on design to get return on investment before they release a new body style.. I would be surprised if it comes out then. They haven't got the Vert or the Z28 on the road with the current body style yet. But you never know..

The new era Cadillac was designed to compete w/ Mercede's. They built a solid platform for Cadillac to do it, and now that Pontiac is gone they're going to take Cadillac in the the direction of BMW? Makes no sense, they should held on to Pontiac for that then. They're going to have to redesign the Cadillac's & their image to do it anyway. GM just could never make the commitment to make the moves with Pontiac that they did with Cadillac & now Buick to make it all work.

I never believed for a second Pontiac could go toe-to-toe with a marque like BMW. Not at the price range they were slotted at. Cadillac is striving to be the Gold Standard in Luxury vehicles....is BMW not a luxury manufacturer? Between them and a Lexus-fighting Buick, they have the bases covered that a GTO-laden Pontiac could never accomplish. imho, anyways.

I'm not sure it's accurate to pit Cadillac against any ONE, single manufacturer, anyways. Well, you CAN....just don't limit the "battlefield".

FWIW, Pontiac was occasionally known as 'a poor mans BMW'

First let me say that the company known as Mercedes Benz is the Gold standard and will not be passed anytime soon. They were the First car company to which I didnt know till not to long ago.

I never caught that. Towards the end, I remember the G8 being compared to the 5-series...but that was the only BMW/Pontiac comparisons I'd ever read or heard.

According to....who? Being the first doesn't make you the best, and I was -- fyi -- referring to Cadillac's old "Standard of the World" slogan.

Anyways...how did we get so far off topic?

I sent them an email!. Offered them to come to Michigan and test our Pedders Camaro at Gingerman. I did mention our Pedders Camaro can turn a 1.38gs on street tires. I also gave them the video of Paul Tracy driving our Pedders Camaro at the Optima Challenge. Then asked if their $85-90,000 mile Mercedes can do that?

Here is the video I gave them

There is not a 2010 Camaro in the USA with street tires that can out perform the Pedders Camaro on a open track. PERIOD!

Will be interesting if they respond!
