Yeah... it's beautiful. I really want to go sometime. One of my DNA matches in Kirkintilloch, Scotland sent me some pics of the area.

I used www.familytreedna.com to do the test several years ago and would recommend them.

To prove the last name isn't related, you'd have to do a Y-DNA test which test's the Y Chromasome that you get from your Father. She doesn't have a Y Chromasome so she would have to test either a brother or her father.

She could do a MtDNA test, but that only tests the mitochondrial DNA you get from your mother which has nothing to do with your last name.

I met a guy on the Viking group section of the DNA site that claims to be a direct decendant of Thor. He sent me a pic of the Burial mounds where he is claimed to be buried with the other ancient kings.
