It was the late 80's. I know they paid it off. I had only had it less than a year. I was leaving a job interview when it happened. We had just moved to Knoxville because hubby got promoted so I had to quit my job to move. I waited to buy a new one until I had a new job. It was heartbreaking seeing it after it came out of that flood water 7 1/2 hours after being completely submerged though. I feel for you. Hope it all comes out well. I ended up getting a nicer car Chrysler Lebaron coupe turbo. Good luck. Let us hear how it all comes out.

holy crap, i literally shrieked when i saw the pictures. My mother lives out in Ontario and my grandfather off of Park Avenue. They said it was bad; parts of town you couldn't get around because of all the flooding. I had no clue it was that bad. Hope Graham has more on their lot this spring than they did last year when i was there. Good luck and keep us posted!

I had a 2002 full size Chevy truck that got totalled last year.
State Farm cut me a check for $10,500 in just a couple days.
$10,500 for a truck that was 8 years old? I couldnt complain.

I can see insurance fraud being a reason for some of the fires and people not respecting the power in the others. You have to wonder what stories could be told about some of the wrecks and if some were fatalities.

That sucks.Sadly that car will probably get cleaned up and put on a car lot or go to a place like Cleveland pick a part to be parted out. The latter would be the better of the two scenarios since someone wouldn't be getting into a bad deal unknowingly.
