Next we kept Sport Mode on and turned on Competition Mode and it ran a 5.31. Finally we tried with Sport Mode on and everything else on and it ran a 5.44. I drove it pretty hard for about an hour before we timed it and it was about 77 degrees out at 8pm when we were there. I also spun the tires slightly for about 5 to 10 feet each time depending on the mode. Is mine right on par or a little under performing? I thought it was supposed to be in the 4.7 range.
I think you are on par

Practice your launch a bit, it sounds like yours is running fine.

We've had guys run mid 13s with only 305 rwhp. Your car is making more than that, that's why I can't see how it could be as slow as a V6 Camaro.

Its really weird.
Sorry dude, your logic is a bit flawed here....My Tahoe puts more HP to the ground than my Solstice does...but I guaren-damn-tee it's not going to beat my Sol in the 1/4 mile.

Sounds good. Yours is almost a full sedond ahead of mine right now. You're still just over half a second slow as far as advertised time but I'd damn sure be happy with it. Maybe some practice. At first I was rinning a consistant 6.6 but I've been able to learn how to work the pedal to get myself another half second. My last 10 or so times were ALL in the 6.1+ range. VERY consistant.

Your car is fine. The other thing is the LS3/L99 engines will get stronger between 7k-10k miles. Your car will get faster. The problem with my car and others as they get faster they may only hit 0-60 in 6 seconds where you will be right around 5 or just lower.

Come on, are you being serious?
I'm comparing two different 2010 Camaro's (V6 vs V8) and their rwhp. They are close in weight. If one makes 80 rwhp (dyno proven) more than the other, it "should" be faster.
I know more factors could come into play, but your comparison is completely void of logic.

Your comparing a Tohoe with a Solstice. Two completely different vehicles with a weight difference of 1500 lbs. How's that for a realistic comparison?

Your car actually running good.

People need to understand that they are not going to be running
4.7 sec, 0-60mph in conditions that are not ideal. If you can pull low to mid 5 sec 0-60mph during the summer with limited seat time, your car is fine.
Put an experienced driver in your car with ideal track and weather conditions, and you'll see those advertised times.

One thing we don't want is a bunch or "normal" L99's showing up at the dealership complaining about not running the advertised times. If GM starts testing a bunch of L99's and they come out to be "fine", it will slow down the entire process.

It will discredit those that are slow.

The point I'm trying to make is that a dyno doesn't tell the whole story. Yes, I agree if you're comparing a v6 camaro to a v8 camaro, then it is a red apples to green apples comparison....if you're comparing car X to car Y, which may or may not have similar properties, then it's an apples to oranges comparison and horsepower may not be relevant in a 0-60, 1/4 discussion. Now that I've said that, anyone in the mood for some fruit?

After reading thru this thread, I have a few theories:

1) Those of you who are posting about having problems with the A6 are really spies from Ford dressed up as Camaro owners - trying to poison the decision of those of us who haven't bought a Camaro yet
2) You get a commission for each M6 that is sold
3) Now that the government has ownership in GM, the cars produced will look good and sound good, but won't perform very well and won't live up to expectations

Just kiddin!! I know you guys are having real problems and I wish you well in getting them fixed.
