It's not even close to equivalent. The Shelby name on GT500 before and GT350 now is just a marketing tool. They are designed, developed, and manufactured completely in-house by Ford.

I just posted that video in response to the solid rear axle holding the Mustang back. While it's not ideal, if we're talking about a track car, it's not that big of a handicap.

So wait, you sold a ZL1, purchased a Z/28 then sold it two weeks later, eating the depreciation? Never took a single picture of it? What was the VIN?

& if you're going to pretend, why pretend you have a Camaro? If I were to pretend to have a car I don't, it would be something north of $100k

In his defense, he has a GT-350 and 350R on order! Got good deals on them...

![]() He already has both the GT350 & R and is in the process of selling them both now because someone came up to him out of the blue at cars and coffee and offered him X dollars for them. ![]() I think he's looking at Lambo's next..........

I pointed this out because it was blatantly obvious and IMO was to create a cover to praise the GT350 while dumping on the Z/28. Unbiased. I've known it for months (?) and let Poop know subtly but he continued. Friday he PM'd me mocking that I didn't hint so I went for it. The claimed ownership history was so brief it didn't take long to paint the full picture. FYI - He sold a GT500 to buy a 12 ZL1 but sold it due to heat soak while tracking. No indication in the ZL1 owners VIN list and he didn't start posting under this name until 14.

Because versus the GT500 and the Hellcat, the ZL1 with the LT4 will be the most underpowered and probably the slowest in a straight line. And with the GT350R, whatever the high end "track Camaro" just may find itself nipping at its heels. What is so YAWN are more "de-tuned" Corvette hand-me-downs. Just once I'd like to see a motor designed for a Camaro. You know, like what Ford does for Mustangs and what Dodge is doing for the Challenger/Charger. The LSA was actually kind of cool in a way because it wasn't in a Corvette, even though it was just a de-tuned LS9.

I own a Camaro. I have owned a Camaro for almost 2 years. Before that I owned a 2001 Firebird. Before that I owned a 1995 Firebird. Before that I didn't have a driver's license. Throughout my entire life, I have owned nothing but Firebird's and Camaro's. The reason why the GT350R is a million times better than a Z28 is because the Z28 was completely un-streetable. It was designed solely for the track. It has no options and the tires are useless in most real-world conditions. The GT350R will actually have driveability. A normal person could actually drive a GT350R around as a daily driver, even. This is not possible with a Z28. On a scale of 0 to 10, I rate the Z28 a '0' because it is completely useless for me and I could never see a world where it would be a viable purchase. Technically, it is infinitely better than the Z28 because anything multiplied by zero is zero. As a lifelong GM Camaro/Firebird only buyer, that makes me the epitome of objective. You may want to check yourself. Quote:
