It's all warranty.......... they owe you a loaner for the day...even if it's a Chevette.

I learned to drive in a Chevette... of course I tell everyone it was a Vette (the "Che" was pried off of the badge)!

The "inside" name for the Chevette is: Shi*box. We used to hate seeing those things at the Chevy dealer service dept.

Things peaked with the diesel GT

How many times have you guys heard that lame joke about this guy who claims he has a "Vette" in the garage and then he shows his friends and it turns out to be a "Chevette?" At least he wasn't lying!

SO....... Another reason the dealer has been less than stellar. He did not sell it.

I had that problem for years. In fact the car they charged us $800 for the NON warranty work was bought out of town.

Just slug through it.......... The car will be worth all the crap once they attend to these issues.

I didn't buy it from the local dealer because they wanted 10k over invoice to preorder.
I ended up paying sticker for my fully loaded car..not great but not over invoice...
I feel it should not matter where I bought it..

On a side note, I filled out a survey sent to me from GM for my recent service..I used the further comment space to tell of my details.

If you did read all 6 pages, then you know I had the same suspicions, per my posts. But then she further explained the "0 miles" was just a place holder for saying it was "brand new".

Again, Sorry if you took my post to be arrogant and a jerk... I truely didn't intend it to come out that way. I was trying to put the mileage thing to rest since it had already been addressed.

Apologies!

EDIT: I love the CGM, sometimes wish I would have gotten that color.

5thGenOwner,

Thank you.. I understand how my comment could seem like I was being doubtful. I'm not sure how Mindz meant his statement, but I took it to mean that it sounded "suspicious" or shady on the dealers part (combined with all the different issues). I appreciate the Olive branch.
I think its cool that you like CGM Black was my original choice, but I had to be realistic about how much harder it would be to keep it clean I apologiize as well for the attitude. I am not on here to start pissing contests... Take care,

CGM Diva

CGM DIVA - I wasn't upset about ANYTHING you said and I probably should have quoted Mindz instead of you about the zero miles issue and I am sorry. I know you can read, and I know you love your car. You kinda' got caught in the middle of all of this unfortunately.

Outlawz - I didn't flame anybody, not even you. Too many members appeared to be searching very hard for holes in "Myothercarisafireengines'" story. I don't know if you spoke with her via PM, but I did. She is new to C5; doesn't quite know what to expect from us, but too often people speculate. I do it too. I'm not a saint. She doesn't understand why people are cutting her down because she isn't wording everything precisely as you expect. Secondly, I don't understand what my working knowledge of automotive mechanics has to do with anything. I'm not making anything up nor did I take my own census of members that had these problems. In fact, I just had my oil changed today from my dealership at 2300 miles. I alerted them to the HVAC reprogram bulletin and the spoiler nuts issues. I knew the spoiler wasn't a problem because I had it painted in August by a body shop, but while I was there, they were happy to update my computer. No charge. What you asked me was like me asking you to display your ASE certification in your signature every time you post. If I don't care if you have one, than you certainly shouldn't request me for my experience. You just don't do that, I'm sorry.

Myothercarisafireengine - I'm delighted to know that the dealership is looking into your issues and we're all waiting to hear what comes of your situation. Hopefully you have nothing but good things to report! Good luck!
DKKnightX,

I appreciate your apology. I can understand how frustrating it must be when people come on here and spout opinions based off of hastily made conclusions or just plain ignorance. I apologize as well for the "heated" responses. I hope to share and learn a lot from this board and its members for years to come. Take care,

CGM DIVA

Our Warranty book is no doubt different than yours, but I would read the section on replacement transportation while your car is unavailable to you while warranty work is done.

1000 Miles and Not any Problems.

The Lemon Law in Short here in Illinois :

1.Have to take it to the dealer at least 3 Xs for the Same Problem
2.You Have to have less than 12000 Miles on it
3.You have to have Less than 12 months Old.

It's all good, I could have done my part in being more to the point with my response, as well. Happens all the time. Although... I'm always down for a pissing contest!! (un)zzzzzzzzzzzip!

And actually Black was my 1st choice too, or would be, if i had a person maid that could keep it clean for me. Nothing better than a clean black car. I know my limits!

I've seen some really nice CGMs and the color is more dynamic than i gave it credit for at first. But don't get me wrong I love the SIM, shines like a diamond in the sun!

Take Care as well!
